Can vouch for this mouse. Good quality, comfortable and highly customisable.

I suggest however, mapping the scroll wheel functions to something such as a play pause music, because to often on default scrolling would result in it zooming in or out of web pages

      Scroll wheel is unbalanced.

What does "unbalanced" mean with regards a mousewheel?!

And kurtles, I'm guessing you've got the smooth scrolling thing turned on… you can turn that off and it works as a standard, notch mousewheel.

The square black clicky button directly behind the mwheel, and in front of the profile button, changes the mousewheel from smooth (which I think is terrible) and normal.

        • It means the wheel has weight off the centre of gravity so when in free scroll mode it will rotate to the same position. It's annoying.

        • I've no clue what you're talking about… like, I've got nothing.

My mousewheel is perfectly balanced and I can scroll away without it doing anything unusual - it does exactly what it's meant to.

        • @Diji1:

I know exactly what you mean. It pisses me off so much.

        • @nurries:

          Me too.

As Deviner's comment shows, it's not inherent in the mice though, just shitty QC. I have a bunch of Logitech mice and some exhibit the behaviour and some don't.

The scroll wheel is amazing. You can switch between normal notched scroll and free scroll.

        • Yeah I like it too, I just use it in the standard mode!
But handy that you can switch modes if you're someone who's into the smooth scroll.

        • @Deviner:

if you're someone who's into the smooth scroll.

How can you not be? :O It's the reason I only buy Logitech mice.

        • @TheContact: Haha, I can't accurately control it I think is my problem! :)

This was $63.20 at JB Hifi on Boxing Day last year..

If you can buy a time machine for less than $4 it will be worth

  • for anyone looking for the wired G403 its $47 at Harvey Norman picked one up for myself and its great

  • Great mouse, still going great after 2 years. But it is nearly impossible to clean my dirty hand grease from the little triangle patterned side grip. The overall mouse shape is too slim for my hand (while the mx master it almost perfect). And the right click is a bit too heavy for me since I mainly play League but it's great for fps, especially the dedicated aim button which I never used because it's too far ahead of my thumb.

    • Its super disgusting, but run a card (Credit card is a little too thick) along the grooves and itll come out.

  • Was in the market for a g900 but realised I won't use the wireless function that much anyway and both mice run identical sensors. Paying more than double for the g900 for wireless isn't worth it in my case so thanks op for posting this!

I'm waiting on the g903 with powerplay charging system now!

  • Not the best for fast-paced fps mouse movements. The scroll wheel "clunks" from side to side (yes, even when it's locked). Very distracting noise and feel. If you're not playing fps games you probably have nothing to worry about. It's a decent mouse otherwise but this problem was enough to make me return it.
