Damn, ordered $300 worth yesterday with 5% off.

    • Know the feeling! I ordered $266 worth with no discount last weekend.

    • There's usually always 5% off codes floating about. Many of their ambassadors have their 5% off codes on their social media accounts. Just usually need to search for them.

I usually hold off until the 10% off codes pop up. Thanks OP, perfect timing =D

      • WHich ambassadors? I looked up 5 already and no luck

    • +1

It's alright, you guys can work out harder tonight and release all that aggression!

      • +1

I blew about a hundred bucks on 3 bags of WPI with no discount after searching for one for like 20 minutes to no avail. Their own website says somewhere that they almost never do discounts because their product is already as cheap as they can sell it. Bah.

I will add this to my "Hate Fuel," phone doc of stuff to think about while working out to burn off aggression and get in shape simultaneously.

    • Do you still have that 5% code?

  • +5

Thanks OP. I forgot to complete my order last night, so this is a win.

  • +1

    Thanks, worked well. Saved $10

Will buy from bn again after using all the stuff i got from myprotein … which imho is lower quality stuff but was cheaper.

    • +1

Same, I'm going back to BN after MyProtein. Their prices were fantastic but flavours suck.

      • Yeah agree.. flavors definitely nowhere as good .. and the protein clumps … bn easily better and worth the extra price imho.

        • I used Venom first as they deliver for free next day to Sydney CBD, where BN charge $7 but with otherwise similar pricing.

BN's stuff seems pretty close to me, but I do find the taste a little better.

    • You aren't wrong. 60% protein. They claim 75% or something.

  • Awesome timing: was literally walking back to my desk to place an order and got this. Thanks OP!

  • whats the difference between WPI and WPC?

and usually how much months before expiry ( after receiving)

    • I'm under the impression WPI is mostly useful for people with lactose intolerance

      • +3

Correct unless you are lactose intolerance its a waste of money…its just not worth the cost difference.

I think Normally its about 18 months… but I could be wrong.

        • And if you are (like me), it is the best money ever spent.

        • +1

Second this. Its like 33% extra cost for 10% more protein. You could just buy more WPC.

    • +1

The only difference is WPI is slightly more filtered than WPC.

The result is a lower carb count and less lactose, which means a higher protein content (although the difference isn't that big. perhaps 27g per scoop vs 25g).

The lower lactose content is more ideal however if you're like me any lactose is still lactose.

      • thanks for the explanation guys

also how do you know if your lactose intolerance btw?

also do you get free shipping if you spend a certain amount?

        • +4

You will know. And so will your toilet bowl.

        • Shipping is a flat $7. I'm more of a fan of their "protein matrix" personally. Mixes better than WPC and is cheaper than WPI

  • Great, i forgot to order yesterday.

  • Good timing, just about out of protein powder :)

  • Not working for me now..

    edit: sorry actually, still working.

Is anyone else confused about how 10% off a nutrition website got to front page so fast?

    • +19

      do you even lift brah

      • Maybe there's a link between with bargain hunting and body building?

    • No.

  • Awesome! Creatine City here I come!

    • Do these guys do a creatine transport product or just straight creatine?

  • Don't forget to get your free sample!

  • Does it still turn out to be cheaper when compared with VPA/Venom Protein? Coz the latter has free shipping

    • +1

I used to buy venom (WPC), but BN tastes much better if you like flavoured.

  • Thanks :)

  • The Soy Protein is a great product - inexpensive, low fat, low sugar and very good protein per 100g.
I will definitely be getting some more.

    • You will grow tits

      • Would be a pea protein a better choice?

        • Does not taste as nice as soy protein based on my opinion.

      • You must know given your name

  • +1

Placed my order and it already shipped, noice

  • Does anyone recommend the choc honeycomb or the salted caramel flavours?

    • Choc Honeycomb is really nice!!

      • Thanks! I'll grab some of them since I love the chocolate flavour anyway

        • +1

Good choice, I have the choc honeycomb just for fun sometimes without working out lol, tastes like a milkshake

    • I recommend only chocolate.

    • Salted caramel didn't taste like anything special, accidentally ordered it instead of choc honeycomb so will get it right this time

    • They are my two go-to flavours, they're both awesome!

    • Salted is by far my favourite. But with water all shakes are pretty tasteless.

  • i tried a sample of the bn pre workout .. the one with some banned stuff in it and not for professionals … man .. i got dizzy after the workout and my head felt really light … might try it again to see if it was the pre workout or something else that caused it.

    • I think you'll find they no longer sell "the one with some banned stuff in it"

How long ago was this ? Did you leave it sitting around for 2 years before trying it?

I recall them changing their pre workouts several times to remove banned substances.. not recently though.

  • Need some help, what's the best protein to use as a meal replacement to help lose weight?

And whats the best flavor, i know that's subjunctive but just want something that i don't have to hold my nose to drink lol

    • +2

I get the raw unflavoured WPC, for breakfast I make a smoothie with 1 banana, a bunch of berries (blueberries or raspberries), some oats, water and a scoop of WPC. I think it tastes pretty good. roughly 330cals, 30g protein, 50g carbs and 2g fat.

The previous night I will put all this stuff in a tall beaker from the Braun Multiquick (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/283499) and put it in the fridge. In the morning I zombie my way out of bed, stumble to the fridge, pull out the beaker and use the multiquick to blend it up (30 seconds). I like having a smoothie because I do everything else for my morning while drinking the smoothie - don't have to waste time sitting down eating a bowl of porridge etc. Been doing this for about 6 months now

      • Thanks for the reply, would WPC not be bad as a meal replacement as it says its absorbed quickly?

        • +1

In short, no - it's not a good meal replacement by itself (it's just protein).. but combined with other things (like my smoothie above) it could be.. just depends on your goals and what you want out of a "meal replacement"

I think what is more important is considering what your food intake is over the entire day. How many calories do you burn per day (and therefore how many do you need to eat to lose weight?). Secondary to that - how much protein (4cal/gram) do you need to maintain lean body mass, are you getting enough? Then fill in the rest of the calories with your preference of carbs (4cal/gram) or fat (9cal/gram), and also consider getting enough fiber.

So for example, I find my smoothie with WPC really convenient because it jacks up my protein intake and has barely any fat. I prefer eating more fat later in the day in the form of curries with meats like beef or chicken thighs and coconut milk. This means at the end of the day my ratio of fat/protein/carb (aka macros) are looking pretty good. Basically using WPC (or any protein) isn't good or bad as a meal replacement, it's just a tool for you if you want protein in a convenient form.

        • @hepc:
          Great answer.

        • @hepc:

Great thanks, because of cost I got 4kg of WPC to try.
I know I have to change my diet and do more exercise, just hoping this will help with feeling full so I don't snack as much.
          Thanks again!

        • @zacsg1:

4kg to try?? Geez mate that will take you 3-6 months to get through if you don't like it! Best of luck

        • @hepc:

haha i know, i could not get just one bag as the value was not there! I did get 4 different flavors to try so then i should get a good idea of what i like and dont like.

  • Thanks OP, been putting this off in hope of a code.

  • I bought some ON recently, discounted $75 for 5lbs. How does BN stack up against ON? (I'm new to the supplements game)

    • +1

Have tried both of the chocolate flavours, while ON tastes great, it's more expensive (about 20 cents more per serve). BN doesn't taste great, but is by no means bad. I'm getting BN for my next protein, along with some of their creatine.

      • +1

Cheers mate, I think I'll stick to ON for now then.

  • Haven't bought BN in a while so haven't tried any of their new flavors. Is there a review rating poll anywhere?

  • Excellent been off the protein for a few months, time to grab some.

  • Anyone know when this expires?

  • I prefer myprotein - Tiramisu is great, Blueberry Cheesecake is decent but I wouldn't have it every day.

  • +3

Don't forget to add a free sample to your order ;)
