      • 3 year warranty.
      • 60 day satisfaction guarantee.

Kmart only has 12 month warranty.

    • I've got the Kmart one for cooking outside e.g cooking fish or deep frying and I have had it for about 3-4 yrs no dramas.

It can get very hot on the 9th setting. I bent an el cheapo pot I bought from Kmart but it can also maintain low heat like for making yogurt.

I suppose the aldi one has one less heat setting so maybe it is only an issue if you cook complicated food that needs low to medium heat.

We've had the Kmart one for a couple years, we live off the grid on solar so use it on sunny days all the time. Works well.

The Ikea one looks pretty good too.

    • Works OK too, though it uses pulsed energy so mightn't simmer like you want.

  • I found the IKEA one to be quite loud. Does anyone know if any of the models from other retailers are better/quieter?

    • I'd assumed it was normal for induction coils.

    • It's the pots that make the sound. If they are not the single cast type, they will be noisy on induction.

…Or consider this one which also comes with a pot and free shipping

Be wary of designs with plastic faceplate & controls that are flush with the heating plate - I put a hot saucepan on one that sat too close to the controls and utterly melted them.

Also be aware that most cheaper induction cookers don't have an inverter, and don't do low power levels very well - they tend to switch on and off for up to 10 seconds at a time, not great for dishes that need consistent gentle heat.

    • Will they always say if they have an inverter or not?

How good is Aldi TV 55" 4K ?

None of my saucepans seem to work with them.

      • I think you need special induction cookware.

Merged from Bauhn 55 Inch 4k UHD LED TV + Chromecast Ultra for $599 @ ALDI

Seems like a very good deal plus a Chromecast Ultra included worth around $100.

  • Response time on Kogan TV seems twice as fast 6 vs 12ms and it's a Samsung panel, no idea what the Aldi one is. Both options might be ok but Kogan seems a better option for those reasons and $100 cheaper with free shipping if you deduct the chromecast
