    Do you know before you buy whether you are going to get the voucher? Ie, not sold out.

    • I would suggest it's first in best dressed.

  • "A one off establishment fee applies, see your contract for details. A Monthly Account Service Fee of $4.95 (when balance owing) apply."

    IIRC this is sometimes $59 but usually $99, like most point of sale credit arrangements. Combine the monthly fees and the $250 voucher is worth less than face value, and I assume there are minimum spend critiera for use of the voucher etc etc or it's only available for tours/packages etc. I'd be very careful, the website is pretty light on details.

    • You are correct Sir Casm regarding the establishment fee and monthly fees, and the minimum spend is only $250 for all packages on Webjet Exclusives, but the $250 voucher is for subsequent spend on www.webjet.com.au. Still looks like a great deal to me…

      • ->"still looks like a great deal to me"
        ->Associated

        Not biased at all.

  • I am interested in getting this deal. Just tried to do a booking for Gold Coast. It is only allowing me to pay $99 deposit and not the full amount of $469. Will it still work? I do see ZipMoney as an option and also this offer ($250 voucher) there. Can you please confirm if I will get this deal if I pay $99 deposit. I am happy to pay full amount but they only collect $99 deposit at this time.

    • You have to sign up as a Zipmoney customer, which means they issue you a credit card (and charge an establishment fee for doing so - see above), you pay no interest on the initial purchase for a set period (but you do pay a monthly account fee), but any additional purchases incur ridiculously high rates, something like 23%.

      This sort of predatory lending is targeted at people who probably shouldn't be buying things they can't afford, like holidays. It's not there for your convenience, it's there to make the merchant sales - why wait, get it now & pay it off?! - and also guarantees the credit card company income too when they slug each new customer $59/99 just to sign up (then monthly fees, then annual card fees).

      Think very carefully before entering into one of these arrangements, the big carrot of a $250 voucher (only to be used on another holiday booking) may not be as enticing or as good value as an offer from a bank which gives you say 30,000 frequent flyer points ($300 value if sold online).

      • For clarity, the Webjet Exclusives website says there is no credit card issued when a customer signs up for zipMoney. This looks vastly different to that of the standard processes a bank uses.

      • Thanks for your detailed reply. I am already a Zimmoney customer. Its like paypal and you can sign up in zipmoney and pay directly. Thanks

    • ghodiyu - I just re-read the terms and conditions and if you sign up before 30th June, Webjet Exclusives will send you a final invoice 3-5 days later and assuming you pay in full, you qualify for the $250 Webjet voucher. So paying the $99 deposit does not preclude you from this offer.

      • Thanks. I agree with you. I paid the deposit $99 and I am waiting for final invoice. I will pay in full with zipmoney to get this offer. Thanks again.
