Guessing that the Xiaomi multi driver Hybrid Pro or Hybrid Pro HD options are better than these at a cheaper or similar price respectively?

  I just received my Pro HD. It is fabulous. Just gorgeous sound. And the packaging it comes in feels very premium. I've owned every form of Piston before it including Hybrid IV, and this one feels even more premium. I can't recommend them enough, for the price I paid. They sound so good in fact that if you listen to some of your older MP3s recorded at 128kbps they actually sound bad. The poor quality encoding will show up in these earphones, which is a problem only audiophiles complain about. Lesser hardware will mask the blemishes in the sound and it's not quite as pronounced.
  
  I have not heard these Sony but even at $79 it's not going to beat a $5 basic Piston. You're not going to beat them for under $100.
  
  EDIT: OMG, after listening to a few songs with the HD Pro, I went and plugged in the Hybrid IV and played the same songs, and noticed an immediate loss of clarity compared to the HD. So much so, that I don't think I can listen to these IVs anymore.

    I'll hold out for another Hybrid Pro HD deal then!
    Or might just hand in my OzBargainer licence for a second and pay the extra few $ "at full price" if there's no further deals over the next few weeks..
