        So what? They're still going to work, and this bullhonky about "won't support upgrades", don't even try.

        • +2

          Non MFI approved cables Can not handle phone calls and IOS upgrades. These ones have Genuine Apple Chip hence MFI approved.

        • I've just had two lightning-to-headphone jacks go 'accessory not supported' after the last major update. Apple charges for 'legit' lightning products and seem to kill off the generic/knockoffs every now and then.

          @enigma48:

          I've never had a problem, with any IOS device, and non-OEM accessories.

        • @Sir Casm: Until recently (upgraded from 5S to a 7), neither had I. I was lucky: the seller refunded my purchase.

        • @Sir Casm: I've had heaps of problems with cheap non-MFI items. I wont bother with them again, you never know when they'll fail on you.

      • Can you point out what brand your product is, so we can check whether it is indeed MFI: https://mfi.apple.com/MFiWeb/getAPS

    • I wouldn't buy those cheap ones, I ordered like a $5 one and it's really dodgy. Not sure about the quality of these but if they truly are MFI approved then they'll be miles ahead of those cheap ones.

      • We can guarantee you that they Are MFI approved as Original Apple Chip are being Used. Our Prices Are Factory Prices which Explains it

    if theres a mfi chip then it will work forever and i can tell you my dodgy cheapo dock with no mfi has already started saying "unsupported accessory"

    +1 for MFI approved.

      from the listing:

      • Works with MFI-certified Lightning to USB cable
      • Works with MFI-certified Lightning Audio headphones

      It doesn't spell out that the product is specifically MFI Approved. Not quite the same.

      • It is stated in the Item's Description on our Official Website that the Cables are "MFI Approved".

          Yes, I was pointing out that te ebay listing appears to be for a "works with" cable. Yours appears better.
