      My experience says that its obvious. They give free apps with limitations for marketing, usually useless. So i dont bother anymore to download.

      ABBYY have a superb track record for OCR, I also know this from experience with their software bundled with Fujitsu ScanSnaps.

      Google translate is excellent, but does the android app (assuming there is one) do realtime translation from the camera?

    It is supposed to do QR codes but I couldn't get it to recognise any. It handled text extremely well however.
