    Targeted

  • Targeted indeed.

    mmmm… 250mL cake… drool

  • +1

I am a Coke Zero addict and I am also targeted this time

  • +1

It doesn't taste good. Tastes nothing like coke in fact

    • Apparently it uses Stevia instead of Aspartame as sweetener, so little healthier I guess ?

      • +3

        Isn't Stevia Coke Life?

      • Does it use Stevia? The Lifehacker article I read suggested it used aspartame.

        • Oh, hang on, you're probably right, that might be the new Life Coke with green decor..

        • @Droid11:

The ingredients are the same as Coke Zero, just in different proportions.

      • No it doesn't use Stevia. I did a detailed comparison on the other thread yesterday. I compared the nutrition panel and ingredient list.

Basically less salt than coke zero, no preservatives (unless in a post mix) and the key thing: different flavours (not sure if they're stronger or just different - either way less flavouring required).

    • Tastes like artificially sweetened crap.

    • I thought it tasted more like normal coke than did coke zero, but in a bad way. I way prefer coke zero. What a shame.

  • This is like the free Coles Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies offer last month. It's targeted.

  • I've got it too. I think everyone who is registered to flybuys should receive it.

  • +5

If you didn't get targeted you can claim a voucher to get a free can from Friday as well.

  • boo I don't have it (would've been simpler than the voucher method)

  • Thanks - found it in my deleted/junk emails and activated the offer. Need to start paying more attention to the Flybuys emails.

  • Should be Free Coles. No Sugar from Coke

  • +2

Contains sweetener 950 & 951. Just got my free can, can confirm it works.

  • +1

So is this more healthy than Coke Zero?

    • +1

Not sure, but I'm pretty sure it's just a rebranding of Coke Zero

      • It's not a rebranding. It's a different recipe.

    • I don't think it's any better or worse. Just a taste change.

      • Same ingredients as Zero. Different proportions.

        • Different flavours. Explicitly stated in their FAQ.

        • @syousef:

"Coke Zero and the new Coke No Sugar contain almost exactly the same ingredients in different quantities.

In Coke No Sugar the proportion of sweeteners in each drink is higher than the amount of flavour. In Coke Zero that is reversed."

From Coke. Only very slight change in ingredients.
          Don't confuse ingredients with flavour.

        • @swimmingtoad:

Flavour is an ingredient. It's just that it is sufficient to use the term "flavour" in your ingredient list to comply with food safety laws.

          https://www.coca-cola.com.au/en/new-coke-no-sugar-faqs/

"Q11. The ingredients listed on packaging don’t appear to differ between Coke Zero and Coca-Cola No Sugar, what’s the difference then?A11. The key difference is due to further optimisation of the flavours. Like all product labels in Australia (and New Zealand) any flavours used in the recipe are all included in the ingredient list under the term ‘flavours’. You will however see from the ingredient list that packaged Coca-Cola No Sugar does not contain any preservatives."

    • Should be the same. Same ingredients, slightly different amounts.
Unless there was something wrong with Zero which the formula adjustment fixes.
But supposedly the change is only because they think the new formula will taste better to more people.

    • Pretty much the same, really. I don't think you could ever call either outright healthy though.

As far as taste goes, I like it. Not as good as normal Coke in taste, of course, but better than Zero was. Doesn't have the same pronounced aftertaste as Zero, and it doesn't have the syrup-y mouth feel of normal sugared Coke. Unfortunately the carbonation is still a bit lacking, but anyway. Overall, would recommend.

  • Taste change no sugar more chemicals.

    • +2

      More than 100% chemicals?

    • +1

Actually they removed the preservatives but blamesociety is right, every thing you eat or drink is made of chemicals.

Coles employees also get them for free!!!!

Braud at iga gave me 4 cans. They had slabs behind them to hand out

    • Who's Braud?

      • -1

Its spelt Brawd. It's an obsolete bogan word for female.

"When used to refer to a woman, broad is usually perceived as insulting"
"Earliest use of the slang word suggests immorality or coarse, low-class women."

        checkout chic,

  • -1

Their sales have been going down recently. I would feel bad for their investors but they are selling poison to the masses so they kinda deserve what they get.

  • Got email in the morning and already received from Coles Kings Cross. In my opinion the taste is decent! Don't wanna think about ingredients though

  • my local coles have a few remaining cans of coke zero on clearance but the no sugar coke isn't even on the shelves or in the cooler cabinets yet.
