3.69 for 1kg of Nutelex seems a good deal to! Thanks for posting!

    • Gosh… At first I thought 1 Kg of eneloops. My bad !!!

  • Can you enter Costco without membership like usa?

    • no

if you go during the week, they should allow you to enter and have a look (weekends harder cause its busy)im pretty sure I read somewhere that said this

if not u can join, look and if you don't like refund ur memebershp (get it all back)

      • But they take note of your address and you can only do this once a year per household I believe.

    • Yws but you cant buy anything

in which area are you? If you are planning to visit one in Moorabbin Airport, pm me, I'll accompany you with my membership :)

      • Worst pickup line…..ever!

      • Thank you. Moorabbin one is my closest. I will contact you with the time and details.

        • planning to go there tomorrow around lunch time, so if you decide, let me know :)

    • You cannot enter Costco in US without membership.

      • I did. You just can't buy anything.

        • Mmmyeah that's right. So you're basically forced to eat the free food, and nick stuff. It's an odd 'marketing' strategy…

        • Might have got lucky, they are always looking for membership just like here.

        • @some_one_some_where:
No, that's the standard policy. Confirmed with relatives who live there before heading to the store. Went through the concierge to get passes.

Also good value if you just want batteries are coles rechargeable which Choice rated as higher than Enleoops https://shop.coles.com.au/a/a-national/product/coles-brand-b… , only $7 for 4 AA's.

    • Wow thanks for that. I thought eneloops were the best.
I'll have to purchase some Coles brand

    • Thanks great tip. What charger would you recommend to go with them?

Just DON'T get one that operates on a 'timer' yet claims to be 'smart'. If you can afford to splash a few bucks, get one that operates/monitors all slots independently, has an LCD-display that reports the current status of the battery in every slot, and also has a 'rejuvenate battery' function (this function is variably named, depending on the charger brand… but it is a 'real thing'/function/actually works). I scored a 'BTC3-100 OPUS' via an Oz-B deal fairly recently, and it's been awesome so far! Best charger I've ever had, and I have had at least five.

        • Thanks for the info, appreciate it!!!

no probs, just had another look at the review, even scored higher than the Eneloop pro

        • I assume that the price plays a strong role in their high scores (as it should). Do they provide enough detail in their report to tell if the performance is actually better?

Don't think Ozbargainers still looking for Eneloopes….shouldn't we all have loads of them already?

On a side note,I am going to stay away from Costco after my current membership expires. Have been a member since it is opened and haven't had to return anything using their any time return policy. However I tried to return a multi tool set recently as result of clutch failure in the main drill. Guess what they made me go back two times 1. missing the bag 2nd pointing that a tool missing the blade (never sued the tool and turned out the blade was in side the tool when I checked at home after. Finally accepted it 3rd time but with a condition saying that there is a time limit on electrical products if you want from next time.I have not returned any product other than once (change of mind purchase immediately the day after without opening the box). Still getting treated like that for a genuinely broken item… Nah…dont think it is worth paying $60 every year people….

    • Yeah, I joined for 1 year to see what all the fuss was about…

It IS kinda fun going there/I like the free tasters they dish out regularly at lunch-time and the hot-dogs are cheap… but unless you live close-by, or want regular access to a free couple of hours parking at the Docklands (VIC) whenever you want, or somewhat cheaper petrol (ACT; again only really worth it if you live close-by), then it becomes just a novelty after the first couple of visits. I took a few friends there to check it out in the year I was a member, and that was quite fun… but I have not had any cause to renew my membership in the last couple of years; not for $60… If it was $30 I would probably have done it, but 60 clams is just that bit too much, for what essentially amounts to 'entertainment' after the first year.

    • Yes, I'm noticing that too. Have been a member since they first opened in Australia - they used to promote the fact that you could return anything anytime, no questions asked as long as membership had not lapsed. Never had issues before on the odd occasion I had to return stuff that broke after a few months (or even a year). But in the past year, I can see the staff asking lots of questions, challenging customer and basically giving them the runaround.

So the satisfaction guarantee is not quite the benefit it used to be…..

  • Eneloops are TOO good, once you have your supply, that's it for life .. :-) .. !!

  • Any idea where the cheapest place to get this is, outside of Costco?
