  • I'm getting a "we couldn't process your PayPal payment" when I try to pay. Anyone getting this?

  • +2

Price went up just when I went to click on purchase. The deal appears to be over.

    • Damn… was trying to switch my G6 order to this but looks like I missed it :(

  • Looks like they just raised the price: It's now $869 before discount.

  • The price went up now?

  • New price after discount is $738

  • I must have bought it just before the price went up. Could this be a pricing error? And is it something that they will have to honour given it's done on Ebay?

  • A seller revising the listing, and raising the price before the listing runs out of stock doesn't sounds right to me.

I haven't had the price of an item rise after it has been added to my ebay cart before.

Hopefully it is not an indication of Quality Deals typical practices.

    • -3

They've jacked it up. Lol. You're right reflects on their practices. Blessing in disguise for me I guess !

  • looks like 2 person may have accidently purchased at the higher price

  • f____ hell. no wonder. I can't get the price up there. It's 869*85% = 738.65 now

  • price gone up now.

  • +2

They are going to lose a quite a few sales as a result. In my opinion, the price increase doesn't make the deal worthwhile - especially when you factor in that it does not come with a tax invoice, and that it is a grey import.

  • lol 4 people…make it 5 as of 3.12pm, bought it after $90 price jack. It's still cheap I guess. But thats a nice profit on the seller. $90 x 5 = $450 profit, plus whatever he's already added on top of original price.

People take it easy :) I think he was just being silly

    • -3

I was just about to check my email, until I finished reading, up-voted you (smart-a$$)

  • +6

Kinda happy they increased the price. I was just about to commit although I don't think I'd need the phone. The price bump made me come back to my senses :D

New message from: qd_au Top Rated Seller(39,384TurquoiseShooting Star)
    Hi

Sorry. We were having promotion with eBay before and it's finished. However, I've heard there may be a new promotion price later today but we haven't received a >final confirmation. We suggest you to check again later today.

    Regards
    Ella

    • Also got the same message when trying to change my G6 order. We'll see what happens I guess… :)

  • Anyone got a shipping confirmation yet?

    • Nope but I got an email saying cash rewards has tracked
      Expected cashback: AUD 10.14

I ordered a case and that been posted out today

Hopefully it comes in the next 2 weeks before my holiday

    • Nope. According to their feedback a lot of people received their purchases within 2 days. Someone even had it delivered on a Sunday.

  • No shipping confirmation either and ordered pretty soon after the deal was posted here :/

  • Same boat, no shipping notification either. Have sent them a message.

  • +1

I'm hoping our orders didn't get cancelled or will be cancelled. I've bought like cases and wireless chargers already in anticipation!!

    • What case did you get? I'm considering this

    • I learnt to not count my chickens before they were hatched when I purchased the oneplus 3t from geekbuying and they sent me a Xiaomi redmi note 4 instead.

I had 2 cases and 3 screen protectors ready to go, and both paypal and geekbuying refused to believe me that they had sent the wrong phone!

I will wait until the phone is in my hands before I order a case now.

We appreciate your kind understanding and apologize for any inconveniences that may cause.

    Business Hour: 11AM - 7PM Monday - Friday

P.S. Please note we will answer inquiry by the date it is received. When you send in multiple inquiries, it will push your message to the bottom of the queue and cause delay. Your kind patience is appreciated.

  • If they cancel all the orders, their 18 negatives in the past 12 months will sky rocket to 300+ within an hour of sending the email out.

    • +1

Its only been 3 days since the sale ill give it till Thursday till i get worried

      • +2

Considering the amount of orders they got, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes all week to get rid of the back log. I won't be acting on it until the estimated delivery dates have passed or they cancel my order.

  • I thought it was Expedited Delivery - starting to regret my purchase of 2 x phones if they take a week to send them

    • The ETA was the 11th. It was for me atleast

      • 5-10th for me, clearly cutting it fine for that timeframe

  • Postage estimate for me was 10th to the 14th i leave on my hoildays on the 16th. Fingers crossed depending on the method of postage ive have 5 day turn over on orders from Taiwan and hong kong

  • My eta is the 5th to 10th July, not counting on it though

  • Just got notified that it has been dispatched. No tracking number provided though.

  • Just got my confirmation of shipping

  • Got postage notification :)

  • Still not shipping confirmation. Anyone actually received it yet?

    • Yep, yesterday :)

      • +1

Lucky you. Hope all is well. Sealed box? Quality charger?

        • +2

Oops, I received the shipping confirmation but not the item (didnt read the second part of your comment).

    • At least one person who purchased the s8 has received it so far according to the ebay reviews, the comments there are all positive (for s8 & s8+) noting that the charger is not for an australian plug.

  • Order has been updated with tracking number, courier is DHL. Status is shipping information received 30/6/17 nothing else on tracking.

  • Ohhh interesting just going over my order:
"As per listing description, we ONLY ship from overseas if we are out of stock in Sydney. Rest assure the item you receive will be exactly the same whether dispatched from overseas or not."

So some people well get the order fast as the stock is already is aus and others well get it shipped from Taiwan

    • That means nothing. It's just a way for them to state they're in Australia and post everything from overseas. I doubt anything gets sent from Australia.

      • On the listing
        Item location:
        Sydney, NSW, Australia

        • Yep, that's what I said. They use it as a way to claim they're in Australia when they're clearly not. Lots of other sellers do it too by claiming they're in "Darwin".

        • @nurries: Think the actually have a physical store in Sydney. It's were you can take the phone for any warranty repair issues

        • @Dezeption:

          Was not aware of that!

  • Definitely overseas stocked. Tracking updated item just been picked up in Taiwan. Eta delivery For the 11th

    • Nice, I've heard zip so far got my case yesterday tho, looking forward to replacing my 6p with a smaller/lighter phone

  • Updated this morning to being in customs Sydney

  • Better then my I inquired and got:

"…your shipment has been arranged, your shipment should arrive within next week…. blah blah huge loading due to eBay promotions blah blah trying our best to arrange shipment"

    so next week hopefully

  • Mine is now finally picked up by DHL and eta is Tuesday

  • +2

Ordered 2 and received both today by DHL. Sealed boxes with AU power converter. :)

    • I received mine today as well though there were two seals on the box, the white seal and the official Samsung seal.
Was your official Samsung seal sealed? Cause my official Samsung seal had already been cut…:/

      • +1

Only white seal. No samsung seal. Still happy.

        • Cheers, might just go ahead and use mine as well. Everything else inside is sealed.

  • I'm still yet to receive a dispatch notice. :(

    • Spoke too soon.

  • anyone want to sell one to me?

  • Got mine half an hr ago, with white seal, happy with it

    • On sunday? Wow didn't think you could get deliveries on the weekends

      • I thought the same but dhl contractor arrange delivery on sundays too, they said cos too many parcels

  • Mine came today

  • Mine also arrived white seal in tact.

    • Yep mine too, I carefully took the white seal off the see the original Samsung seal broken. Not sure why they do that. Currently flashing to official Australian firmware to have future ota updates and have Australian features active.

      • I assume they do it so they can change the language to English as it defaults to some Asian language.

      • What's the best method to do That?

        • Basically download the latest Australian firmware HERE is for the S8 non branded version. Download the lastest Odin. Extract the firmware into the Odin folder. Individual load each file into Odin (the firmware folder with have a prefix like AP, CSC so you know what goes where. Ignore CSC home) Boot phone into download mode (VolDown, Bixby, Power) push up, connect to computer. You should see the COM box go blue push start. Wait for download to complete and reboot. Perform a factory reset and your done…

          I'll PM better instructions

        • @Dezeption: can you pm me too please. I'm a noob when it comes to flashing rom etc. is there any risk (bricking) for doing this?

        • @mjjeje: PM'd and yes there's a minimal in that happening if your were to lose power etc but I believe if anything does go wrong you can use Kies and do a system firmware recovery and it will go back to bought state with the Taiwan FW

        • @Dezeption:
Could I please get a PM also?
          Never done this before.

        • @Chaddles23: can't PM please enable it

        • @Dezeption:
          Hehe. Sorry.
          Should be enabled now :)

        • @Dezeption: Could I also? Pretty please. :)

        • +1

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: sent… WARNING the link for the FW I include is specifically for this S8 and model

        • @Dezeption: Just wondering what are the difference and advantage of installing the Australian firmware?

          Thanks.

        • @Haku: Australian exclusive apps, ota updates. Look it up for more

  • Has anyone figured out how to get Samsung Pay working? It won't accept my AmEx.

    • You need to flash to Australian firmware

      • Currently doing that now. Hopefully it works. I'm assuming I can kiss dual sim goodbye?

        • Nope everything still functions as normal just have the extra Australian functions

        • @Dezeption:

Hmm, might need to test this out. That would be awesome if that's the case.

        • I haven't tested it but read that it works completely fine with our fw. Get back to me on it please

  • Received phone on Tuesday. As others have said, the phone had a second white label seal on and an official Samsung seal underneath that which had been neatly cut with a sharp blade of sorts. Phone appears unused otherwise.

    • Apparently the reason the original Samsung seal is broken is so it's not sold there because it would undercut their market and disrupt store sales due to cheaper purchase from distributors under condition not to be sold home
