    If you plug this into it it will become a lightning dock. Tried it myself works no problems.

    Why not? Plug in a decent set of earphones and it becomes an excellent sounding iPod. Pretty sure they had top notch DAC in those units.

      I think the 4/4S was one of the nicest made, with a good design to it. Everything else after that just felt light and cheap.

  Still rocking 2 iPhone 4's. I only call out - do not use data - so works perfectly for me - but these docks are 20c at Cashies in Fountain Gate.
