To get $50 cash:

Open a new Complete Freedom account before 30/09
Deposit $500 within 45 days
($50 deposited into your account within 52 days of account opening)

Good to know:

Monthly account fee is $5 unless you:

• deposit at least $2000 into the account each month
• are a student or under 18 and get a Complete Freedom Student Account

Excludes customers who have held a Complete Freedom Account with St.George, BankSA or Bank of Melbourne anytime from 30th June 2016. Not available with any other new account offer. Eligible customers need to open a Complete Freedom Account between 1st of July 2017 and 30th September 2017 (inclusive) and deposit a minimum of $500 within 45 days of opening the account. Eligible customers will receive $50 deposited into their account within 52 days of account opening. Offer limited to one $50 deposit per eligible customer. Where a joint account is opened, the offer is limited to only one $50 deposit in respect of the account. If one of the joint account holders has already received their $50 deposit in respect of another account, then none of the remaining joint account holders will be eligible for the offer in respect of the joint account.

  Wait 53 days.

  Lose $10 in fees.

  Close account & pocket $40?

  Is that correct?

  Or, this^ plus open Maxi-savings account with as much money as you can, earn 3% for three months, then close accounts?

  ie. including 30/9
