    got a480 for similar price a while ago. good little camera, only really for daylight and bright indoors. its got a slow lens and no IS. 490 is the same as far as i can tell other than the looks.

    picture quality is really good!

    I just bought this for $77 a few weeks ago at officeworks.

    The picture quality from this model is fantastic however the lens is extremely slow (enough to make you go insane :)).

      Chdk on a480 is interesting, i set it to display the battery voltage in milivolt increments, and measure scene brightness in cd/m2 for measuring display contrast.

    you can also get at HN as I saw it there the other day down from $129

    Also Auspost has the 495 on sale for $119 , not sure of difference.
