  • OP the title should read BlitzWolf USB not BlitzWolUSB and requires a space between , and USD.

Can we get a deal on longer cables? Eg 2-3m?

  • Good cable, good price.

Just got 4 to give to a couple of family members.

  • +5

    Any deal on micro usb?

    • Yes
I would be interested in on a micro usb deal too

    • i wanna buy a couple for my ds4 remotes. (side note they should've made the version 2s USB-C)

I got a bunch of these, pick pink for galaxy s2 and its only $1.31

They are one of the few micro usb cheap cables I found that were able to keep charging my old nexus 5 while it plays summoners war flat out.

  • maybe a dumb question - but this wont work on a micro usb phone?

    • +1

No, you need a USB-C phone. If you really really really want, then you need a converter.

    • No it wont, this has a "reversible" connector where as micro usb doesn't.

    • You're after this one but the deal has already expired

    • Thank you guys

  • "magic tape" useless velcro strap falls off within hours.

    • +7

I think the 'magic' here is that it disappears

  • +1
    • Yea, a few of the blitzwolf range have been tested.
Check out some of the old posts for a link, I found it in there previously.

    • I'm on my phone, but doing a quick Google Search show that these cables has been Benson Approved

      • I'm not so sure that it's "Benson Approved", as he adds this at the end,

"Section 4.8.2 of the Type-C spec forbids Non-USB charging methods like Qualcomm QC that can change voltage on Vbus beyond 5V, so these two lines cannot be true either. Compliant Type-C devices and chargers cannot support methods like QC that can change voltage to 9V or 12V.

In conclusion, this is a Good cable for your Nexus 6P/5X to use with all of your older USB Type-A chargers, hubs, and PCs. It also works great with Chromebook Pixel 2015 and will work great on USB Type-C spec compliant devices to come! However, it is NOT a SuperSpeed USB 3.1 5gbps cable. Look elsewhere if you are specifically looking for a 5gbps cable for use with MacBook or Pixel C."

This seems to indicate that it shouldn't be used for QC-enabled chargers and only for older chargers.

      • It's great that his name [Benson] is so unique. Can you imagine if his name was John or Dave and people are trying to google "John approved USB type C cable"

        • For anyone not in the know with USB-C, they would wonder who this "Benson" guy is.

    • +1

This problem has been blown out of proportion, really quite dumb.

The problem is for USB-C to USB-C cables., as their PCB's are more complex, 10 reversible pins (20pinout) on such a small header. Manufacturers got lazy, and only used the 4/5 pins and the outs were grounded causing issues on how USB-PD works.

For this case, USB-A to USB-C that's exactly what you do though, all the other pins can either be grounded, or left floating, for USB A you need 5V power, Data-, Data+ and ground, which are then connected to the correct pins of a USB-C Being AB1/AB12 for ground, AB4/AB9 for Vcc, AB6 for Data+, AB7 for Data-.

You literally can't do anything wrong, this USB standard has been around so long, and that is why they had issues on USB-C to C cables because they continued to use the 4/5pins instead of the full 20.

Anyone seen any reputable brand short ones? For powerbanks? Like 10cm-15cm ones.

    • One options is to use your existing micro-usb cable that came with the powerbank and then buying a micro-usb to usb-c adaptor.

Hey Rep, any chance of a deal on TC4, TC5 or TC6 cables?
I own a few blitzwolf cables already, but find the moulded connector design feels stronger.

  • I recently bought this cable to use with my new lg g6 and all I get is a slow charging message.

    Can anyone please explain why?

The cable is rated to handle quick charging yet it won't even normal charge.

    • +1

The charger might be a factor in why it slow charging. What charger are you using?

      • The supplied one from LG.

        • +2

Did the cable supplied with the charger quick charge your phone?

Also have you tried a different charger or use the cable on another phone?

        • @RichardL: the original cable does quick charge. The blitzwolf cable works normally on a different charger (as in not slow charge message.) I do not have another usb c device so haven't tried the last option.

        • +1

@Sweaty-penguin: On your different charger, is it a Quick Charge compatible charger? If so, I think the problem might be your LG Charger.

        • @RichardL: the other charger isnt quick charge compatible. It's an old 12w Apple one.

I'm just struggling to understand what the issue is. I buy a brand new cable and only. Get slow charging. And I have another 2 already coming!

Edit: but why does the original cable work fine with the supplied charger?

        • +1

@Sweaty-penguin: Usually genuine charger wants you to use their company cable, and restrictions other brand cables. In my opinion you should look into purchasing a new charger. The Blitzwolf or Tronsmart posted on OzBargain regurly should be sufficient.

Edit: For example this from Blitzwolf is great if you aren't looking for multiple port charger. If you are looking for multiple look into the 5 port Tronsmart Charger.

        • @RichardL: I hoped that this wasn't the case. Have to spend more money for a feature that I already have…

How do they manage to block non original cables from working?

Last question! Tried it with my computer and it only registered as a charging cable. No data transfer?

Thanks for your help though Richard

        • +1

@Sweaty-penguin: It doesn't hurt to have a spare charger in the house/work.

        • @RichardL: have heaps already just not quick charge. See my last question?

          Cheers again!

        • @Sweaty-penguin: Regarding your last question, some phone requires you to select "Transfer File" as a security feature before you're actually allowed to transfer files.

        • @RichardL: have done that previously. I'll stop picking your brain.

        • @Sweaty-penguin: No problems, happy to help as much as I can.

    • I don't get rapid charging, but mine charges my phone at 1100mA when using my external battery.

  • Glad this is back on. The last time this was on sale, I mistakenly bought the USB micro one!

    • I bought both last time but only the micro USB cables got delivered, I actually needed the USB C cables so I might just purchase again so save the PayPal screw around for under $5

  • Cheers OP just bought some.

I am really pissed off with banggood service. I ordered BlitzWolf BW-S1 40W Smart 5-Port High Speed Desktop Charger from last months deal haven't received it. When tried to contact them no response. PM store rep as well but nothing. Avoid.

    • Mine arrived last week (sorry .. doesn't help you)

    • +1

It takes 3-8 weeks for things to arrive from Banggood (and the similar sites). November - January can take even longer. Wait a bit longer.

  • this is a great cable for phones with newfangled quick charging capabilities. I don't even bother with using the stock cables anymore. This are built better and have the same output.

  • These seem decent. I bought a few last time it was posted and they arrived a bit over a week ago.

The "magic" tape strap is a shitty velcro cable tie that I'm sure will go missing in the next few weeks. The cable itself seems to have decent performance though. Fraction of the price of the ones at JB and way better quality.

  • Can these be used to charge a 45w laptop?

  • It's not that price anymore??

    • The deal expired as the amount of stock being sold at that price (it was 200-300 if I recall) has finished.

  • Deal is back on right now.

    • Showing $6.02 for me??

  • +1

It's showing AUD4.01 for me. Any way I can show a screenshot in here?

    • You need to pay in USD on Banggood and PayPal and let your bank do the conversion, if you pay in AUD on Banggood/Paypal then you'll get a lower exchange rate. However you'll need to use a foreign fee free credit card or you're bank will charge you ~3% for buying something in overseas currency.

      • Unless you use citibank, or other cards that don't have conversion fees.

  • OP Can you possibly update with some more?

  • +1

Still available via CN warehouse at $4.03

  • Thanks! Got some

  • When you select quantity and color, the price changes to $4.03AU. Did for me anyway

    • It's US $2.99. Change the currency to USD, you have the currency set to AUD. See here

  • Looks good, but my input seems different to this one. The usual input that i use for many things like my phone is the one i want. USB to 3A i don't think it is. What would it be? Cheers

  • iPhone cables pleeeeease rep!

  • Bought 2. Hope this doesn't bootloop my LG v20!

  • +1

The only issues I've had with these (micro usb) is that the plastic around the micro usb side becomes loose.

Anyone using these with a Sony Xperia xz premium?

  • thanks OP. ordered two

  • Can these cables do file transfer?
Found out yesterday one of my cables could only charge but would not connect to PC for file transfer

  • Daaaannnng ittt! I keep missing out on 1.8m MC-5's type, and I keep seeing either lightning or type c.
    Grrrrr.

    • Are the MC-5 better than this type? I remember in previous deal for the micro USB cables people mentioned the older blitzwolf cables had a point of failure where the cable cover would come loose.

      • It's a regular micro usb, not type C.

Pretty much just looking for the same cable in 1.8 with a micro usb connection.

  • Grabbed a couple

  • This is not very flexible, my cable i got last time has started to fray at the connector end.

  • Was $4AUD when I just took a look. Before I could make a payment, price jumped to $6AUD.

  • Can I use this with my OnePlus 3t? How are they compare to the original OnePlus ones?

  • Anyone got theirs yet? Still waiting
