    Hello Dear customers

    Hello dearest rep.

      ( ´◔ ‸◔')

    • Realistically, how good are these things? I like the idea but prefer to pay a bit more for something that will work consistently and over a period of time.

    • that one is different to the one in this deal (the one I posted above is the same as the one in the OP).

  • I have one of these. Waste money

Really? You didn't experience either of these with it?

      • Delicate and lightweight, it is a simple, low-profile without losing connotative artwork at any time and place.
      • Simple and lightweight appearance makes you enjoy free and idle life at will

Some people are so hard to please, I just don't think he appreciates connotative artwork and idle life at will.

        • You've been waiting all day for this comment haven't you?

    • Bought the same model as in the pic and mine works fine. I love it.

      • You guys that have the mount in this deal (sold under different brand), can you describe the actual magnet part? How many magnets does it have in it (usually you can see the outline of the individual magnets)?

Is it strong enough to hold a phone with the metal plate inside a case, or does it need direct contact with the metal plate to hold securely?

In general, my experience is that those with single magnets need direct contact to hold securely, while those with a cluster of 4 (like the Logitech Drive mount) can hold a phone with the metal plate inside a case.

        • I can't tell you how many magnets because it has a rubber cap over it and I'm not home right now. I can tell you though that I have my metal plate on the outside of a wallet case and when I fold the wallet over so the plate is between the back and the front of the case it still holds really well on the stand. The Drive mount actually isn't as strong as my Bakeey one I'd say (I own both) and the Bakeey one has a sticky coating on the suction cup too which helps keep it on.

        • @potplanty:

Cheers. Are you saying that the magnet is stronger, or just the suction cup?

It's the magnet side of the equation (how well it holds a phone) that I'm interested in, rather than the suction cup side (how well it sticks to the car).

        • @caprimulgus: Both. The magnet seems stronger to me personally (at very least on par) and the suction cup definitely mounts better (my Drive just started falling off and won't stay on for >2 mins now).

        • @potplanty:

          ok cool, cheers!

in terms of the Logitech Drive, do you apply water to the suction cup? I find that helps with a rock solid connection.

only issues I've had with it falling off is when leaving it attached while parked in the hot summer sun. aside from that, it's never fallen off.

        • @caprimulgus: Oh yeah I did the first few times. Forgot about that trick recently. I'll give that a shot. Mine actually seems to stick better in summer. This winter though is making it drop all the time.

        • @potplanty:

ah ok, I suspect maybe that the rubber they use on the suction cup is susceptible to temperature extremes then: too cold and rubber is too stiff/brittle, too hot and the rubber is too loose!

        • @caprimulgus: Just decided to check when I got home and it does have four individual magnets on it.

  • I bought a Baseus magnetic mount recently for around $6, best one ive used, the sticky bit is quite sturdy and the magnet doesn't affect my pay tag that I stuck on my phone cover :)

I have tried a few suction type mounts and all seemed good at the shops but after I stick it on my car it always falls off after a few minutes/hours.

    • I've got the Bakeey version of this and mine is great too. I'm pretty sure the suction cup actually has a sticky lining on it too to keep it in place which means it doesn't fall like my other ones.
