    I have 3 of those and few older (non HD) Foscam original as well as knockoffs.
    This is way better than any of the previous gen cameras including the Foscam.
    Better than cameras on ebay for $50 mark.

  If you're thinking "Hey, I could use security cameras", I don't think this is for you. I bought a couple of these in previous Ozbargain sales and I find them to be more of a toy. I've only tried setting one up with the app, but it failed repeatedly and I haven't spent the time to update the firmware then hack it to enable RTSP. While the magnetic mounting seems convenient, you need to be conscious of where you can actually power this with Micro-USB. This doesn't make it simple to power outside or in high places, compared to wireless solutions such as Arlo (which is significantly more expensive). This camera is very cheap for what you get, but for these reasons I think you're better off trying one first to see if you like it and then ordering more as needed, they will be cheap again!

  Has anyone received their camera from Zapals - mine arrived today, from the boxing to the actual unit to USB power plug all looks fake. I have just reported this back to Zapals. And nowhere on the box it says Xiaomi… I thought Zapals were trust worthy. I'd think twice when I order anything from them next time…
