Fitbit Blaze $150 Was $300 @ Officeworks

450

Was just in officeworks doncaster and then checked website to confirm, 50% off for the blue and purple fitbit blazes. Seemed to be at least a dozen of each colour in my store.

  • Good deal but the product is not very good. The screen is terrible. If you read all the reviews, you would think the screen was made of gladwrap.

    Good find thoguh

My screen is fine not sure what the reviews are talking about..

No idea what they're on about. Have had no issues. Sure you weren't actually reading reviews on glad wrap?

The product is bad; the screen is fine though and is made of gorilla glass.

    • I imagine glad-wrap would survive the drop-test pretty well.

  • No stock for WA peeps. 😔

The black is available priced at $248 though.

    • Yes would be good if there was stock.

Looks like $248 is not an amazing price though.

  • Thanks for posting. Not sure what was meant about the screen being glad wrap.
My son had one for about a year until it got stolen - never had a problem with the screen.
Will buy him a replacement at this price.

  • They've been at around $200 for a while, this is a great price. Great product, have had no issues with screen here.

  • When they first came out they were on sale for $199. I'm happy with mine. Its better for my use than my old Samsung smartwatch was. Usually gets around 5 days between charges. I wouldn't put too much faith in the accuracy of the data. But if you like me and don't care about 100% accuracy it's good enough.

We were in Harvey Normans on Saturday, and they had the normal Blaze for $288, and the 'Gold trim' Blaze for $368.

Who the F are Fitbit trying to kid?

We got a lovely gold mesh band of E-Bay for ~$25, and it looks awesome.

  • Do they in-store back order ?

    • Well, this is a clearance product. So, no.

Just a quick heads up: I saw a whole bunch of these in the bargain bins at JB in Southland for $140.

They're all brand new so in box, but I didn't think it qualified as a deal because of limited stock etc so I'll post here.

Keep in mind that the Blaze doesn't have built in GPS, and it's not waterproof, so very limited if are planning to use it as sport watch.

I had one and sold it after waiting 6+ months for them to test and add my Moto Z to the compatibility list. Fitbits support for android is poor and unless you have a Samsung Galaxy or iPhone then it's not likely your device is supported. This week they added both the Google Pixel and Galaxy S8; these are the only two devices added for 2017.

The result of an unsupported device is that you'll likely have issues syncing and any advanced features such as GPS Assisted Tracking and Notifications won't work; for some reason Fitbit need to tweak their app for each phone on the market otherwise it's terribly unreliable.

You'd be better served getting something from Garmin.

Here is the device compatibility list from Fitbit. http://www.fitbit.com/au/devices

    • Yeah my old G5 isn't listed as being supported, yet it works fine. My Lumia is listed as being supported, yet it doesn't work fine…

      • My LG G4 which is not listed seemed to work fine, however my Moto G4 Plus & Moto Z didn't work. Most of the phones in the compatible list are years old with the exception of iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. Also Fitbit app updates require devices to be running Android 4.4 and above now, which I suspect won't affect many ppl but it's sad how many new phones are not supported.

  • Anyone know where there is stock in Sydney? Their website isn't very helpful.

    • Five Dock on Parramatta road have the Plum in small.

  • Looks this one got ozbargained at my local store - they are holding stock for 24 hours for someone!

    • Have you checked your local JB? They might have some in the bargain bins left

  • If you have an S8, just so you know that there is an ongoing compatibility issue with the blaze - https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Blaze/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-drai…

    • They've just added it to the compatibility list this week. Edit: Oh the battery issue, yeh not great.

  • Checked all my area and nothing. JB had them but not at a price anywhere near this. Shame! JB doesn't price match do they?
