  • Old model.

    • Old Model is the better model. Newer one has lower resolution and slower, but more compact.

      • New one does true 4k.
        Old one does not.

        • Should clarify - for stills:
          Old one is 2 x 16Mpix. New is 2 x 8Mpix.

        • @bchliu: different camera sensor, MP ain't everything.

        • +1

@Damonator84: It does on a 360 Camera. Especially when you zoom into the picture at certain angles. The extra pixels will give you much better zooming clarity.

  • great price for the better Samsung Gear 360 model… the only reason why you would want the new 2017 model is if you want to do live streaming… otherwise definitely get this model… i might get another 1

    • Curious - do you mean because it's more portable? Or because the old model can't live stream?

      • +1

yes the old cant live stream. the new can, plus a bit more portable i think. just check compare the photo you get what i mean.

      • the old model can't live stream, but apart from that, it's got higher resolution photos than the new one….

    • Why get a second one? Can you take a 720 degree photo?

      • I got 10 and managed to take a 3600 photo. You can't imagine how good is that!

      • so i can shoot 2 POV at the same time for 360 video editing

      • @wippy's got 2 eyes. (Being a New South Welshman, unlike those queenslanders)

  • +2

This was way cheaper with Telstra I think…

  • trying to place the order right now and the total price to Sydney is AUD 163.30 including 15.3 for shipping. How did you get the Aud 156.55 number?

  • Anyone found a way to delete the files from the unit?

When you connect a USB cable, I can copy pics to my PC, but it doesn't allow me to delete the pics on the unit!

(I have a non-compatible phone which is fine, I use the button on the unit to take a picture and it works nicely. Just cannot find a way to delete pics from the unit!!)

    • I don't think you can on the camera itself… the easiest way is to take the micro sd card out and delete straight off that on a computer

      • @wippy take the micro sd card
Yes, but it's painful to do it that way.

I don't know what stops the deletion via the USB link. I can delete pics on my phone that way!

        • I actually prefer to copy straight from the card but i understand why toy prefer not to as you'll need a card reader…

I prefer to do this as i usually have 2 cards so while it's copying i can still shoot with the camera

  • Unit following link shows $130 USD?
