    Transparent Clock Weather Pro

    I can't see this being a good deal…

  • It's a really nice widget and updates to the widget are pretty good/seamless.

Does it work with the Aust Bureau of Meteorology?

      • That's the downfall of many of these weather apps. Not much good if you can only get a handful of locations in Australia and the nearest is 40km or more away. And when they do have data it may not be as up to date as BOM.

        • I find same… pretty useless for local weather. Prefer bom although their predictions aren't a given either!!

          Sorry clicked associated by mistake.

I use Weatherzone+, Pocket Weather, Weather 14 days Pro, Accuweather, Wiley Weather, BOM Weather. All use BOM data. I really don't care how pretty a weather app is. I only care how functional - what info it provides me when I want it, and that it stays out of the way otherwise.

I use to love Weather Australia but it was shut down earlier this year and there is a different app using that name now.

It doesn't look like it. Some website (Forma or something) I have never heard of. There were 4 sources to choose from and BOM was not one of them.

        • Yep, none of the four have anything approaching accurate weather. No Deal…X

  • Unfortunately no weather apps wet my appetite for accurate weather. This is very hard in Australia as we have pretty much unpredictable weather. The only way I can build confidence is to look up the weather maps and check them a max couple of hours earlier for accuracy. I use Pocket Weather.
If an app doesn't source it's data from BOM every hour then it is just a pretty app showing you a pretty sun when it is actuall p133ing hail on top of us.
