All prices in AUD not USD.

Rushed a bit through this sorry. Looked for the absolute cheapest deals so these are mostly outliers. Feel free to reply with any extra or more better info etc. I did notice actually last year's prices to sometimes be much cheaper than current prices due to the surge in ethereum and cryptocurrency mining. Reports have said for it to be declining but we shall see I guess how that goes over the next few months.

Pretty similar to what I have in my spreadsheet, nice work. https://puu.sh/wMJGC/c3628c9ffa.png

Nice spreadsheet hmm maybe I should transfer this to a Google docs.

      • I have the dynamic fields update so I can quickly check deals. I find spreadsheets crazy handy for comparing all these deals, especially when you can add in other factors that you care about and weight them (shipping time, temperatures etc)

Definitely. Mine was just a quick price list update with some links for easy browsing. Your weight functionality is really eye opening and just reinforces / reminds me that the 1060 really is the optimal sweet spot price wise and performance wise.

      This guy bargains.

Man that GTX 1080 Ti price was good, knew I should've grabbed that …

If it's any consolation, the most expensive GPU is never really good value. Just sometimes it's less crazily overpriced than other times. It's just easy to lose sight of this fact what comparing one expensive price to another slightly less expensive price.

Lower-mid-range is the right price/performance for most people. There are no games that can't be played on that $166 1050 ti (some of them on Ultra at 1080p)

      • If I get a 1050ti I would be able to play warhammer total war and dawn of war 3 on high settings with minimal drops?

        • Dunno, try googling warhammer total war 1050 ti benchmark

        • Mah ninja.. I thought I was the only one (asking these questions). Ashes of the singularity would be a good choice too but I know that monster requires a beast to hit good frame rates at any resolution.

And what would be the benefit of living in the past for an item like this?

    • +8

I don't understand your question. Deals come and go. This is just a guideline so you know if you maybe have got a good deal going for you or maybe not or just for those wanting to know the historical lowest price for a certain video card item.

Use it as an indicator for good deals that may come up in future. For example I did not know many of these lowest prices before I started researching them, only their performance values and maybe very rough ballpark price points from other charts and graphs.

  • Dont suppose you have one for Ryzen cpu's?

    • +1

Sorry have only been following gpus tvs monitors and android phones tablets lately.. for cpus I am probably sticking with Intel and something from their i5 or i7 range unless some last minute amd research proves otherwise.

Maybe post a forum thread asking for the help from some ryzen pro's?

  • Nice post! Appreciated.
