Go and buy a million of these highly recommended. I have few of these for about a year now and actually with the firmware updates, they have become faster to respond to inputs of turning them on and off. Especially when paired with the little remote button that Xiaomi also sells.

The way I have this switch set up is one press for my bulb on/off, double press for other bulb on/off, press and hold to arm/disarm the alarm system.
I find the Xiaomi accessories complicated. Do you need the hub/gateway to use the button?
Not sure from memory will try later. It does appear as it's own entry in the mi home app so might work without. The setup of the xiaomi stuff is a bit rough but once you've configured everything you're set and don't have to worry about it again.

Ordered this, the white version and the 22w ceiling one 2 months ago. Only got to installing them over the weekend and playing with the app. Used the $10 Kmart wooden bases for the bulbs. The app asks for too many details/permissions for my taste but overall using the lights have been awesome.
The original ceiling light I had was a 32W round florescent and the 22w LED feels a good amount brighter. I prefer the RGBW over the plain white because its nice to change the colour temp or mood of the light on top of just dimming.How old is that fluro tube? Brightness decreases with age.
Probably 4 or 5 months since I replaced it and usually goes through at least one tube a year
Mine arrived today from the last deal. Quite impressed. Only problem is I dont have any screw fittings, only tested it in a reptile enclosure mount. Seems ikea no longer sell the adaptors to get it to a bayonet fitting, has been discontinued. Has anyone had success with the ebay cheapies or got a reliable source?
