  • Battery life lasts about an hour on full blast.
Just last long enough for a decent workout.
Above average value for its price.

  • I can't see playing music from SD to be very practical (but good if you absolutely need it), but it has an easily replaceable battery! My god, that is so rare in today's throwaway society.

Does the bluetooth automatically turn on when the POWER switch is turned on, or does it only turn after you press Bluetooth? I don't want bluetooth automatically frying my 'nads at all. Anyone know? Another concern: the LINE IN is done through the MicroUSB, not a standard 3.5mm and it's not exactly using the latest bluetooth version… (for those that want bluetooth).

    I wonder how it sounds.

Has to be set to 'Bluetooth Mode'.

Are you only worried about Bluetooth, there's lots of other things that operate on the same 2.4GHz frequency like WiFi, which is pretty hard to get away from…

      Why is this a concern?

Sounds alright for under $10, but you can't expect too much can you? Lots of previous deals that may answer your questions.

      • Are you only worried about Bluetooth, there's lots of other things that operate on the same 2.4GHz frequency like WiFi, which is pretty hard to get away from…

Yes, it's hard to get away from wi-fi (just go past any neighbourhood or shopping centre or school). I don't want either near me if I can help it. So it's good it's only enabled if you want it. The Logitech speakers (X50 and I assume others) emits bluetooth automatically on power-on and the instructions themselves say to have at least 20cm distance from it. If the manufacturer is saying that you can bet that it's an ultra-conservative precaution. Both are a health hazard.

        Why is this a concern?

Standard 3.5mm cables are better (and cheaper, and easier to find), but it's not a big issue.

So are you happy with yours? Any issues?

I don't use it much really, but haven't had any issues when I have.

  • Anyone know what the sound quality is like?

    • You will be really surprised at how good it is! I bought this last deal and was really impressed.

I bought this previously, it is only 1.5 - 2/10 better than your phone's audio, I think it is bit too quiet and lack of bass. Otherwise not too bad, I can recommend you to get something above $20+.

      • I agree, it's not great quality. No bass but decent loudness. Sounds quite empty though. But great with compatibility as you can even insert an sd card to play off.

      • thanks for the comments

I purchased one in the previous ozb thread and found that the sounds quality was pretty bad, and it had a very loud startup, and Bluetooth pairing was cumbersome.

In the end I sold it. It is less than $10, but I have a feeling that unless you are really extremely unfussed, this probably isn't a very good purchase.
