  • No deal for WA :-(

  • Gonna keep waiting til it's $252…

    • you must be feeling lucky, mr felix

Always go for V8, even though it cost more, you're going to thank me everytime you empty the bin. Plus, battery runs twice longer (40mins vs 20mins)

20 min runtime for the V6 is an absolute deal breaker for me. It would be okay if you could just unplug the battery and swap a charged one in (like cordless power tools - you could have one or two spare battery packs) but you have to charge the actual unit which apparently takes quite a few hours.

The 20 min runtime is on regular suction as well, not the turbo (or whatever it's called) mode.

      • That's what made me hesitate to buy the V6 for a long time, but now that I've had it for the past year, I haven't had a case where the battery ran out on me. Normal mode is plenty powerful already. Mind you, I have hardwood floor at home, so might be different if you have thick carpet.

So is the price. Should only ever buy these things for quick cleaning jobs IMO and leave the regular bigger vacuum runs for corded plus long extension cable that you only have to move once or twice (obviously depends on the size of the place).

    • anyone bought the after market high capacity batteries?
3500mha in contrast to default 2000mah

    Yes but v8 is $636…

    • its cheaper than by 3 v6's

  • V8 Animal went down to $603.15 including postage ($9 cheaper if you can c&c) about a month ago via Bing Lee/eBay. I'm going to wait to get one for my sister because she has a large home .I have the V6 and I love it, it's enough for the main areas of my home but definitely frustrating if you need to get the entire house done in one hit. Ok, enough rambling….😁

one for upstairs, one for downstairs

      • These things are so damn easy to carry around, that's why I have a V6 absolute. You don't need 2, too easy to take it up and down the stairs.

I just came from jb hifi..
There i could turn on the vacuum cleaners and try them out..

Wow the v6 slim were so loud compared to the v8s
    The v6 animal/absolute were almost as bad…
As others said, the run time is also a deal breaker for me.

    Will save up for a v8 :/

    • You spead more than 20 mins at a time cleaning?

      • Who doesn't spend more than 20 minutes vacuuming a standard size house? Takes me about 35 to vacuum the whole house, properly.

        • +1

WOW You must have a BIG house or just slow at doing it!

This isn't really an entire house replacement vac, great for spot cleaning, and vacuuming high traffic areas.

        • @JimmyF: 315m2, but I might be a bit slow, I dunno. I'm physically disabled, but feel like I do okay despite it. Haha.

        • @BradH13: Well nothing wrong with taking your time, but you'll need the V8 then, as it has 40 min run time!

        • @JimmyF: I just bought a barrel corded Dyson the other day from Myer for $375. Couldn't be happier with it.

        • +1

@BradH13: I like the upright ones more myself, easier on the back. But they do both suck well. So YAY for that part!

    • YEEEES!!! i forgot to mention that, the v8 is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more quieter than the v6 models.. Shockingly quiet if you compared the two. I vacuum when everyone in the house sleeps sometimes and nobody hears it (cleaning PC, etc)…

  • Go get kmart vacuum cleaner $99

    • +1

      its not cordless though

    • I'd love one.. but pretty hard to find one after it went viral..

I always feel like I need a shower after exiting that hovel.

      • the experience is that 'exciting' huh?
