This was what I have been looking at, but trying to find a little higher spec for the 16Gb version and 512 Gb of storage

  • Can you add ram after?

    • RAM isn't soldered so you should be fine

  • would be alright, but i don't want to void the warranty

    • Upgrading it won't void the warranty.

  • Would i be able to stack student discount and other promo code on top of the PLAYER PROMO code ?

    • The student discount only applies to purchases from the official Dell store

  • You won't void the warranty by upgrading it. I've got the i7 16gb 512gb ssd version and asked this question when I bought it as I will eventually upgrade to 1tb ssd

  • Picked up one of these, great deal cheers

  • had anyone have much experience with their warranty support?

"Includes: 1 Yr PremiumSupport: Next Business Day Onsite Service"

  • How long does the 56whr battery lasts?

    • google

      • They almost always review the ones with 97whr battery because in the US the 1080p model comes with 97whr but in Australia the 1080p model only comes with 56whr which is lower than xps 13's 60whr battery.

  • Noticed it ships from KL. Is there any customs and duties payable?

    • 1839.20 include duties, which dell pays. You do not need to worry

  • I sore I would never buy another dell but made the mistake of buying this xps. dell just CANNOT build and configure machines properly despite the great hardware. My xps HANGS and freezes. Great specs and design cannot compensate for a machine which just can't do the basics properly.

    • That's sad to hear and ive heard a few people complain but apart from problems with chrome which everyone has mine runs like a dream.

  • Hoping someone might see this even tho the post is expired. I would like to buy this one in the Father's Day sale but I'm not sure if it is touch screen? On the dell website it doesn't say "touch enabled" like the others do but in the dimensions section it says "touch display". Has someone bought this and confirm if it's touch display or not? Thanks!

    • As far as I know, the FHD models don't have touch. I might be wrong though.

      • Thanks :) that's what Im seeing too but it's just the touch display that's got me

        • I have the 4K touch version myself and I seldom use it. The glossy screen will smudge when you touch it so you're going to want to have a microfibre cloth on hand.

        • @89percentauthentic: ah so maybe not a deal breaker? I've been looking for a laptop for a couple weeks and I've had enough research just want to pull the trigger lol maybe I'll just get this and see what it comes with

        • @Hipmumma: I'd recommend going in store to like JB Hi-Fi or something and taking a look at the laptop in person (or anything else they have on display). If want to, you can shoot a PM to Kong Computers on OzB and they might be able to hook you up with a coupon code for their Metabox stock.

        • @89percentauthentic: that's I did see their latest deal I just wasn't sure if their machines were just for gaming? I need it for web design with a million tabs open at a time

        • +1

@Hipmumma: Usually if it can game well, it'd be able to handle your tabs. I got my 4K XPS 15 for design work too.
