Original 20% off Selected eBay sellers PLAYER deal

I was after a pair of these for some failing drives in my NAS. Computer Alliance appear to be one of the only sellers that hasn't jacked up the prices for the 20% off. Great drives at a very reasonable price once the discount comes off.

Cheapest on StaticIce is $266.95 + about $15 postage.

With this deal they come down to $262.20 delivered. Even better if you get multiples as you don't get slugged the extra $15 for any additional drives.

  • Good price, though would spend extra for WD for better reliability

  • Does nas mean u can only use it in a nas?

    • No, you can use them as a normal drive but are designed to be operated 24/7 under larger vibration conditions.

  • Is a Nas drive more reliable than a archive drive? Thanks.

    • NAS drives are specifically built to withstand the 24/7 use and vibration that are created. Although normal disks can be used in a NAS enclosure, they are much more prone to failure in that environment. As a stand alone drive, it would be overkill and not worth the extra $'s

      • Does that mean archive drives are normal compared to NAS?

  • Am I doing something wrong, it shows as $309 for me?

    • Have you applied the coupon code?

      • Thanks, I added the code in checkout

If the market rate is ~$280 then these should be somewhere around $225 with the 20% code.

They've absolutely jacked up the prices for the 20% off :(
