Fujitsu Air Conditioners Now with Additional EFTPOS Gift Card + Double Wine @ Harvey Norman

70

Harvey Norman has overnight improved the deal on Fujitsu A/con effectively doubling the rebate that Fujitsu is offering.

As best I can tell for A/con over 3.5kW Fujitsu offers a $200 rebate and now Harvey Norman is offering a $200 EFTPOS card on top of this (for A/C less than 3.5 its an additional $150 rebate).

Additionally they have doubled the amount or Bottles of Wolf Blass wine to 2 cases (24 bottles) supposedly valued at $480 (seems to be about $11-$14 per bottle and $105 per case (+ delivery) if bought online).

Purchased a 8.5kW split system unit today for $2159 and received $200 EFTPOS card and will apply for $200 Fujitsu rebate and wine via application. Compares well to recently posted eBay deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/315811) which started with a higher baseline price for this unit but ended up slightly cheaper. (Delivery is additional $55 if required - installation approx $780)

Summarised briefly

Buy a Selected Fujitsu Reverse Cycle Split System air cond before July 31 and receive

  • Up to $200 in Visa Prepaid Gift card from Fujitsu - (Mail in rebate)
  • Up to $200 in EFTPOS gift card (Bonus EFTPOS card applies only with the purchase of the selected products)
  • Wolf Blass Wine valued up to $480 (Bonus wine offer is mailed to each recipient upon redemption of a reward code.)

  • But how are the prices?

    • The base prices compare favourably (at least on the 8.5kW I bought) - some stores have the 8.5kW at 2300+ and indeed so did Harvey Norman during ebay sale. The good guys have same price at moment as Harvey Norman but no EFTPOS card or wine

      • Thinking 3.5 for the bedroom.

  • 24 bottles must be only on bigger than 3.5kw?

  • +1

Yep bought a 7.1kw unit this week gone past, managed to get both $200 eftpos card from HN and will have to wait to take delivery of the unit to get the s/n off the individual indoor/outdoor modules for redemption of the $200 cashback.

Just on the cashback from Fuji - this will take 8 weeks to get a visa debit card, or 5 days if you get an electronic rewards card eg coles/woolworths egift card.

Wine offer was emailed to me the next bus day after my purchase and have already chosen my free selection - 4 weeks for delivery.

Pricing was inline with other advertised models from Good Guys, etc - they knocked a further $40 or so off the ticket price and included free delivery (normally worth $50) just because I asked.

Install costs vary based on type of install (back to back/side mount), and difficulty of removal of existing if required, etc.

Was happy with the deal and timing as mine had just died.

    • Hi rysith, did you get the HN eftpos card straight away or do they mail it out?

      • Pick up straight away at time of purchase.

        • Cheers, I am also after the Epson 7620 printer they have on special so that would work out well.

        • Confirmed - pick up at time of purchase

      • Pickup at time of purchase as mentioned below - but you cannot activate it until 72 hrs after initial purchase.

So if you want it to use with some other purchase or another item you will have to wait.

  • 3.5kw was cheaper with the recent (noted above in post) 20% off eBay sale and then 150 cash back from Fujitsu.
As opposed to this one with 2 x 150 gift cards and 12 bottles wine.

    • 5KW $100 cheaper in previous deal as well… I should have pulled the trigger back then…

      • Just in store. As hopeless as the staff are…..
        $798 for the 2.5
        $988 for the 3.5

        Doesn't look too bad price

        • Hi albanyson, which models where they (KMCA or KUCA)?

        • @venno:
KMCA. (The KUCA looks really neat, but unfortunately, the lift up panel goes above the unit and its already going on the wall with a lower ceiling height. So install will have to be lower again.
I would hsve preferred the KUCA

        • @albanyson: Cheers for that, I'm in same boat then as I don't have the wall/window layout to install lower to accomodate the paneel lifting up, they do look good though.

        • @venno:
I don't have eaves, on that side if house, so cileing is slightly lowered. (Just on that section where air con will go.

Confirmed only 12 bottles wine, as under $1500 spend.

        • So the 2.5k unit was cheaper in store for $798? Website shows close to $1000.

        • @huntress_love:
          798 for the 2.5 KMCA, ($949 website)
          998 for the 3.5 KMCA, ($1049 website)

I originally looked at and went to get the 3.5, but decided on the 2.5 for the lower price.

        • @albanyson: Does this mean it is $798 - $150 - $150 = $498 for the 2.5KMCA? plus free wine?

        • @stargalaxy:
          Technically, yes.
The 150 from Fujitsu, apparently takes a long time, some have said up to about 8 weeks. The 150 eftpos from HN is collected at time of purchase. The wines take a month to be delivered. Whether the rrp on the wines is inflated or not, I'm not sure.
But yes, paid 798 up front.
The killer was $600 for the install. Just couldn't get it cheaper than that anywhere.(it'll be Another 50 to the installer, as apparently I need a poly carb base for the outside unit to sit on.)

        • @albanyson: where are you located? we went to a couple of harvey norman and the price is 949 for the 2.5k unit?
Would you be happy to post a receipt for us to price match it too?

        • @pineappletart:
          6330.
I haven't got the reciept with me, but I have a photo of the ticket I took when I was there in store.
They wouldn't budge on that $798 at all when I asked for something further.
Not sure how to upload it here, but happy to email if you PM

I got the install down to $550 with brackets.
(Originally was $599, plus $120 extra for wall brackets. )

  • Not sure if it's just me but in the last Fujitsu free money deal, I lodged my application on 15/3 and only received my digital gift cards on 17/7. Damn did that took awhile.

  • The main banner on the promo page says bonus wine valued at $480 but going to each individual AC's page it only references 12 bottles, surely they aren't valuing 12 bottles at that amount?

    • I'm chasing now if it's 12 or 24 bottles. I'm pushing for 24. (Double)

      • Go hard :)

    • The 12 bottle cases are 'valued' at $240 - they give $480 (2 cases- 24 bottles) worth for certain purchases. The threshold to move from 1 to 2 cases is unclear - I thought I was for A/C over 3.5kW but above poster says it's $1500. I bought today and shortly after received email for 24 bottles of wine. Process to claim wine was very easy with code automatically enetred when linking from email. (The website poorly reflects the upgrade from 12 to 24 bottles and for all varieties of A/c still says you only get 12 bottles). You get an option of Shiraz + sparkling; Chardonnay + sparkling; Sauvignon Blanc + sparkling (can't avoid the sparkling brut ! )

      • Which air con did you get?

I got the small 2.5 for the bedroom, $798.
Online chat said $1500 minimum purchase, for 24 bottles. I paid $599 for installation. $1397 total.
Installation was fixed price and from all the quotes I got, was a standard price. Bonus being will pay with Amex card for a majority of the minimum spend to get bonus velocity points.
$798, plus $150 rebate from Fujitsu, plus $150 eftpos card from HN, plus 12 bottles wine.

        • Can you recommend some installers?

        • @Jamesph:
Called around locally, ended up going with HN install. I spoke to the same fitter whilst getting quotes. He recommended I get the install paid through HN. It was on par with another install quote I had,for supply and install from local air con company. Otgera ere more pricey. It was same cost, but can pay using credit card in store.

        • Still 950 at my local. Where are you located?

        • @clone:
          6330.
The KMCA 2.5 was $949 on the website.
Install is a ridiculous $600 (plus either a base at $50, or brackets at $120 on top)

        • @clone:
          6330

        • @clone: Yeah, 949. Where is 798 one?
