I just ordered two of these and paid with PayPal. The stupid Loght in the box website auto created an account for me, sent me a confirmation email of the new account which when you click nothing happens and the password the generated doesn't work for logging in.

I'm already regretting the purchase with their amateur website and I have no doubt that email address is going to go on 1000 spam lists now :(

    • I've bought stuff off light in the box, be prepared for 2-3 emails a day. They are the spam champions.

  • Noob question, how do you pay in a different currency with PayPal?

    • I think you select the currency you want to buy with using the seller's website i.e USD and when you get to PayPal payment it presents you with an exchange rate back to AUD. if you click on the exchange rate line in PayPal it allows you to use the seller's website currency to make the payment. Any exchange rate at this point is determined by the credit card linked to your PayPal.

At PayPal checkout when you select your card/bank account press 'View currency conversation options' and then select 'Final amount determined by your card provider.'

Ensure you've also ordered the product via USD on the retailers website.

  • Wouldn't strong magnets absolutely kill off your screen and many of the electronic components in your phone?

    • It won't affect the electronics when you wear your tin foil hat.

  • thanks, paid via paypal 28 degrees - $8.18au

  • cheers bought 2

  • Is this a genuine Xiaomi product? can't find this on their China website.

  • Strange, my total came to AU$9.28

You need to change your currency to US so it's US $6.49 which equates to ~ AU $8.21 using today's MasterCard rates.

      • Ah! Cheers Mate!

  • Can you mount your phone with the cover on? I use an iPhone 7 Plus with plastic/spigen cover.

    • Yep - stick the magnetic plate on the inside of the case :)

  • ROIDMI…putting the roid back in Android.

    Looks like a butt plug…

    • "Strong suction, not easy to fall off, stable for using"

  • Thanks.
    $8.55 for me via paypal

  • i got charged US$6.98

    • Sounds like you added insurance, it might be ticked be default, just untick it:

Add shipping insurance to your order Why get insurance? USD $ 0.49

      • I didn't add it. Just went straight to checkout and charged $6.98. Now I can see they added $0.49 for insurance. any way to cancel it? thanks

        • Shoot them an email, they might be able to refund the $0.49 before it's shipped. Not completely sure.

  • What makes this different/better than the magnetic mounts on eBay for about 1/2 the price?

  • I have purchased a couple of device similiar to these off ebay however the magnet is not string enough for the iPhone 6s Plus.
Has anyone used these with a iphone 6s plus?

  • Thanks OP - even included the screenshot showing where to change the currency if anyone missed it :-)
