The LG C7 is around $1000 cheaper but I believe Sony are propositioning the A1 Series against the LG E7 series and the Panasonic EZ1000. I'm personally awaiting the Sony for hopefully its improved up-scaling capabilities from its X1 Extreme Chip on our poor FTA sources here in Australia and for Foxtel SD/HD, and for it's improved motion capabilities for sports like our Football.

  • Yes… A non lg oled (i know they are still lg panels, but they are warrantied and firmware written by sony, whereas lg has been an utter failure in this regard for me)

Still can't afford them and will need to wait a few years though

Just got a LG OLED55C6T today. Awesome TV. $2000 from Factory seconds with the ebay discount last week. Not a single mark on it.

  • The only foxtel worth watching on 4k tvs are only the hd 1080 ones. Wouldnt bother with the sd fox or the normal fta, no matter how good the upscaler is it wont make a difference vs an lg or even the samsung leds.. but saying that the sonys are getting great reviews

    • In what way? Most of the reviews that I've read say that the LG OLEDs are amazing upscalers. JB Hifi had the whole store of tvs playing the Lego movie in Melbourne one day and the OLEDs were so superior it is indescribable. Even compared to the QLED it was like watching a TV worth 10 times more.

That said, I have no idea why you would pay an extra $1000 for this TV when it is almost exactly the same as the LG and Panasonic. The same goes for buying the LG E7 as it's the same as the C7 apart from the looks and build.

      • Have a look at the reviewer the OP posted, or more particularly the one he does comparing the Sony and LG. points out the differences and also why you might go for a 55 over a 65".

  • The model isn't listed now, have to go in store to order?
