  • Hm do I purchase this or do I wait for this Kogan 55"?

    • +2

This. Or look for another good deal on a different TCL or Hisence tv.

  • im also torn. which would be better in the long run?

    • Kogan make a big deal of the panel coming from a known brand. That is only part of the "user experience". I have both a TCL and a Hisence tv, and am very happy with both.

      • Been very happy with my 65" TCL now for 2 years. Can't fault it.

  • The picture quality on these is terrible and can't be tuned out. I installed one of these for a customer this week. There response was, 'why is the picture so ghostly and washed out'. I said, well you bought a crappy TCL, what do you expect for the $$.. Seriously, Id scratch my eyes out if I had to watch a TCL.

    • I am using a TCL 55" for the last 1 year, NO issues whatsoever with picture quality.

    • Thanks, was thinking of buying for spare bedroom as we have sony 4ks in others but had no knowledge of this brand, will avoid.

      • To be a clever customer I stongly suggest you have a look at the TV IN PERSON. Seeing is believing, hearing isn't.

        • Yes I always do.

Nice way to talk to your customers. What was there response?

    Should've gone to Specsavers?
BTW I'm talking about this exact model TV. Just because your different model 55" might be fine, dosnt mean they all are. I'd never buy a TV without seeing the same model in the flesh first.

  • Looking for a UHD 65" for under $1k, any suggestions?

  • Not that good of a deal. I picked up a 55” from Big W a month ago for $499.

    • +1

Yeah, right. People have picked up 55" for $299 as well when Dick Smith was closing down. No one can go back in the past and get those deals NOW. This deal is happening NOW. Everyone will appreciate if you can post a better deal that is happening NOW, rather than talking about past. No one has a time machine to go back in the past. Thanks.

  • My point is I think you could find better deals. That TV is 50” and 200 more.

    • +1

Totally agree mate, you can almost always find something better, if you have time and energy to find it. And there will always be some better deal coming in near future.

      • Thanks for the agreement. My outlook on humanity has increased. I don't know why but I expected an argument between us.

On a serious note… I like to see others who aren't brand snob and simply state… No it isn't a $3,000 Samsung so it will be crap!

To quote Step Brothers… "Did we just become best friends!" Haha.
