Cheapest 65" UHD LED TV I've ever come across. And if you are lucky "targeted" by eBay because I'm not.
Thanks to TA for original eBay 10% off post.

Still grabbed one for our decking and used my $20 coupon before expired. Changhong is a good Chinese band. We had another TV from them and it performance fantastic. The speakers are not nice but as same as all think LED TV's nowadays.

Enjoy.

  • Got a Changhong 50" and the panel is great! Got it for $210 when DS went bust.

    • I got a 40" for $120 at same time! Pretty impressed

  • How does the Warranty go for this thing?

    • "Shop with confidence through our eBay OutletWhen buying from the Bing Lee Outlet store, all items are 100% local stock with full manufacturers warranty."

Isn't very descriptive. anyone had experience?

I purchased a Changhong TV from Bing Lee in 2013. As I'm inter-state (VIC), I was hand balled to the manufacturer, Changhong.

Changhong sent a techie over within a few days and I had the repair completed. I was very impressed with Changhong's service (not Bing Lee's). Granted, I live within 10km of their service centre.

        • That's shady from Bing Lee.. It's actually against Australian consumer law to palm off customers to the manufacturer for warranty claims, etc.

      Hey man,

I bought this TV with the previous deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284285#comment-4354225)
for $799 it's worth it, for $719 it's an even better deal.

4k quality is slightly below my samsung 8 series tv which was 3x the cost. blacks are below average. there isn't any noticeable input lag when gaming (xbox one playing Halo, gears, destiny).

The reason why I bit the bullet and bought it was the 3 year warranty. scroll down on the link below.

      • Thank you so much. I think I'm gonna go for it.

Not a smart tv tho. Would it bought if it was.

Smart TVs are lame. Do people really have time to key in letter by letter using a remote?

HTPC with wireless keyboard and mouse > any smart TV

      • Yeah… I haven't tried one but that's my presumption.

      • +1

Use the same wireless keyboard and mouse directly with the tv

I just spent the extra money and got a Chromecast Ultra for $99 from JB

    • no point, Skype doesn't even support Samsung and LG Smart TVs anymore. Netflix is a joke also.

    • +1

      Get a Chromecast 1 for under $30.
It is slightly slower than Chromecast 2 but still beat most inbuilt smart TV chips.

      • you'd get a chrome cast 1 or 2 for 1080p TV's
the Chromecast Ultra is 4k HDR, there isn't really much point if you buy a 4k tv and stream 1080 to it.

you'd be better off saving the extra $$$ and buying a 1080p with a good quality soundbar

        • There are not many UHD sources available but +1 from me for the soundbar.

  • This looks like a great deal. Is there any way to get it in Melbourne?

    • I tried doing C&C for all states.. no deal..

      • bummer

  • Update the post, appears to be ACT only.

      • Typing in Victoria comes up with nothing, typing in Wodonga comes up with Wodonga. Ebay is broken

  • Now, if only a 20% eBay sale…

I've got one of these - paid $799 10 days or so back.

3 HDMIs are a bit of a pain as 4 would be nice but as I'm using an A/V receiver it's not a big deal.
ARC works well, at least with my Yamaha receiver.
Backlight is pretty consistent across the screen - I've found this to be a big issue with cheap large TVs.
Not too fussed about HDR at the moment as I'm not going to be able to get much content thanks to crappy ADSL and no imminent NBN service

Pretty pleased overall and hopefully it will last longer than the $799 Aldi TV (3 wks, dead panel), or $804 Polaroid (1 wk, dying panel, poor ARC, poor backlight consistency). Both these are incidentally handled by the same importer, Tempo and share the same remote codes….

I'm MORE than pleased to be buying a unit with direct factory support and if it dies after 3 years then I'm sure a 75" TV will be a decent option by then…

    • Thanks for the (unfortunate) comparison to the Tempo offerings.

    • I bought mine on the same deal (i.e. the slightly more expensive deal)

I was happy with the product the first few days, although it annoyed me that I couldn't seem to turn the 200Hz motion 'feature' off as there seems to be some visible tearing around some objects depending on the scene. I was hoping that might be the cause and could turn it off.

The blacks are rather poor, but the picture quality itself isn't bad. Speakers are terrible, but that's commonplace in cheap displays.

A few days ago however, I decided to play some SD content from my Wetek Core connected to HDMI port 1…. and ran into a bunch of lip sync errors and the picture is jittery as hell. Given that it doesn't occur on other devices around the house, like my Hisense or PC it leads me to belleive the Changhong is the problem, if I had to guess, maybe as a result of up-scaling SD content? It seems to affect all lower than 1080p content (the screen is currently running at 1080p) from the HDMI connected Weetek.

Has anyone else had any similar issues? Or can suggest a fix? Most articles online suggest disabling the 'truemotion equivalent feature' which in this case would be the 200Hz EMR, but that doesn't appear in the menu options for the TV.

Any help would be appreciated. It's pretty unwatchable and makes me want to return the TV (interstate…. :/)
