The one in the image is perhaps not the best example and a bit off an odd choice to show off, I would have personally used one of their other product images if I were them.
I presume that fake "this person just purchased this bag" popups on website are not valid reasons for a neg vote.
However I hope nobody buys from a site that uses such tactics.I just had a look at the addon they are using and I'm not so sure that the sales are fake, the definition of "just purchased" is perhaps a little stretched though as it may use recent sales from the last few days as opposed to live this second (unless they are indeed that busy with sales which I doubt). As such I wouldn't condemn the seller for using this method to increase customer trust.
If they changed the wording to "someone in xxxxx recently bought" rather than "just bought", it might be a little more believable I think.

Given the size of the store, products they sell, time of day, stock range and number of items in stock - there is no way the "just purchased" means someone 'just' purchased those items - hence the condemnation. 'Just' does not mean days or months in most people's trust list.

OP at OzBargain the description area resembles a shop window. Invest 3 minutes adding 4+ example bargains with direct links and obviously prices to generate Members' interest. Your 'edit' button is between 'view' and 'revisions'.

@sss333: Well, some of them have reformed somewhat - perseverance sometimes pays dividends - but as you rightly say, many remain determined not to take OzBargain seriously. A classic example the other day was a Store Rep's 62nd post. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/320615
