  • Is Vaya grey stock? No TRS?

    • Grey import from Vaya Ebay

      • I think it only comes in the one colour

Loving this phone, excellent battery life! i don't have the camera issue either as per some posts.. Anyone manage to flash stock rom on aus stock yet? Got firmware but Xperia flashtool not compatible :s

    • Sony states that Flashing the ROM voids the DRM on a number of internal algorithms (like focus, and low light image processing).
Anyone able to confirm a noticeable difference?

Never had an issue with any other device, but always flashed generic aussie rom or the UK generic for the z4 tablet.. Unless something has changed with this release.. I get copies of the firmware direct from xperifirm.. Unless your talking about "Root" the device for super user access that deffinately stuffs up DRM e.g. using newsflasher..

  • Is this an edge type screen like the XA?

    • Not edge to edge, has a 2 to 3mm gap on each side, but it does have a slight curve each side as the tempered glass on mine lifts up on both sides..

    • U mean bezel-less? Nah. This is flagship with narrow bezel rather than bezel less like xperia xa or xa1

  • Has the dual SIM issue (only 2G on 2nd Sim) been sorted yet? (including other dual sim phones?)

    • old news 4g/3g works fine on sony devices

      • thanks

I bought a local stock Xperia XZ Premium from Optus store and the screen is such low quality that I had to argue with Optus to swap my device for a HTC. Extreme motion blur on the panel, the lightest touch distorts the image, and extremely high input lag. Optus girl said I wasn't the first to complain about the screen, and JB HiFi demo model was exactly the same.

Buyer beware if you're buying this just because it has a 4K screen like I did, because it actually sucks.
