DisplayFusion 33% off this week!

50

For this week only, save 33% off software licenses on DisplayFusion Pro

DisplayFusion will make your dual monitor (or triple monitor or more) experience smooth and painless. With DisplayFusion you can add a taskbar to every monitor that works and looks just like the Windows Taskbar. Or take advantage of advanced multi-monitor wallpaper support, Flickr and Vladstudio integration for image searching and fully customizable window management hotkeys. These are just a few of the many things that DisplayFusion can do.

Bulk licenses:
* 1 License: $16.75
* 2 Licenses: $13.40 each
* 3 or more Licenses: $11.73 each
* 5 or more Licenses: $10.05 each
* Personal Home License: $23.45

If you don't feel like buying, you can also use the free version of DisplayFusion which lets you change the backgrounds of your monitors individually amongst a few other things.

The Pro version adds a few more useful features — most notably having multiple taskbars for each desktop you have and also setting individual screen savers for each.

  • I love this program. Maybe I should purchase it :S

  • I'm thinking of setting up a group buy so we can save 7 bucks but I'm not sure if this is allowed on Ozbargain.

    any input from the moderators?

    • Do you know how registration works? I'm just worried that it'll be several licences registered to the same email/person as opposed to individual registration numbers or whatever. I don't really know how it works technically, so it would be great if someone could clarify this?

      • +1

        I'll try and find out from the author himself…

        UPDATE I have received an email from the developer himself! Snip:

        If you buy 20 individual licenses, you will get 20 individual keys. If you
        are doing a group buy, after you put the order through just send me a list
        of names and email addresses if you want them all licensed differently.

        Thanks!

        • They've never had an issue before…but its a pain collecting cash and paying for it/trusting someone with your money…

  • What's the difference between the normal license and the "Personal Home License" that it costs so much more?

    btw, those prices are in CAD, but the AUD is almost at parity with the CAD, so it's a few cents more expensive than what's listed above.

    EDIT: (from http://www.displayfusion.com/Purchase/)

    DisplayFusion Pro Standard License
    For personal or company use
    Perfect for home users who have 1 computer and only need 1 license
    Perfect for smaller companies who want multiple licenses, but don't want a Site License
    Fully functional license including all DisplayFusion Pro features

    DisplayFusion Pro Personal Home License
    For personal home users who have more than 1 computer
    Buy 1 license, use DisplayFusion Pro on as many computers as you need
    This license is for personal use only, not for company use
    Fully functional license including all DisplayFusion Pro features

    • The Personal Home License is…

      The license allows a home user to purchase 1 license, and install it on all of their computers.

      Basically you can buy 1 license and use it on as many computers as you need.

  • Can you not do most of that stuff with the free ATI/ NVIDIA software?

    • No, unfortunately. If that sort of feature existed, well there'd be no point making this software.

      • Nvidia nView is free and does the multi screen stuff.
        http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_8400.html
        "Allow taskbar spanning in Dualview mode"

        • Nice find… but how do you actually download it?

          Apparently Nview is very old — and it's defunct now? Seems that Nvidia killed it off.

        • I use Nview at work, it is pretty buggy on windows 7. It works for the most part, but it opens thing in the wrong screen randomly, the task bar sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, icons sometimes won't disappear.

          • @xen: I had nView on my old work computer running XP and it seemed to run fine. Wasn't playing any games or doing anything hard on the graphics tho.
            Now got Ati and never tried to set up the extended taskbar on it.

            I think nView got installed when you installed the complete driver package, not sure.

  • I'm all in for supporting small companies like this.

    nView is old and does not have many useful features like switch window to other screen when middle clicking the top of the window or with an assigned hotkey.

    It should be mentioned that:

    •All licenses purchased are lifetime licenses and are valid for all future versions (2.x, 3.x, 4.x… etc)

    So you will never need to pay 1 more cent on this same software in the future.

    The problem is, like WISC said, collecting the money. Did Paypal introduce a fee for personal transactions under "gift"?

    • Searched their website, and under their fee structure, it shouldn't have.

      https://cms.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_render-c…

      Under "Domestic Personal Transaction," it says that the transaction is free so long as there is no currency conversion, and if the full amount comes from your paypal balance or directly from your bank account.

      Have you experienced otherwise?

  • So…is anyone purchasing? lol

  • Im happy to organise a group buy, send me a private message if you are interested.

    Minimum 3 to 5 people (including myself) before the group buy goes ahead.

    Any takers?

    edit:

    1 interested buyer so far

    Need another one to go ahead.

    • Also interested - not too sure how to PM - [email protected]

      • I've sent you an email — we now have 3 buyers

        To do a PM, just click on my name Scrimshaw and then on my user page, click the "Contact" link.

        Although I would prefer that you reply to my gmail address that I sent you since I get email alerts on my Nokia that way.

        Thanks mate
