[Pricing Error] Samsung Addwash 8.5 Kg Front Load Washing Machine $653 (with $75 Cashback) @ Harvey Norman Maroochydore QLD

110

Good afternoon guys
inb4 my house burns down
TLDR-

RRP- $1199
Advertised price online and in store- $877
Advertised price in the attached flyer- $728
$75 cashback= $653
At Harvey Norman Maroochydore

I recently purchased my first washing machine after some advice on here
I found the Samsung Addwash 8.5 Kg Front Load Washing Machine WW85K5410WW at Harvey Norman Maroochydore, QLD, with a flyer printed out advertising $728 with $75 cashback . I snapped a pic and went on my way. After researching at home this washer was one of the cheapest for the size and the price advertised was cheaper than their online website ($877 on there) and everywhere else aswell.
It's my understanding this price is a historic low on here from a quick search.

I went in today and an empty flyer stand was atop the machine and was informed it was a pricing error, however they were happy to honour the price, so I went and grabbed it. Invoice

In my opinion this was a decent deal, $150 cheaper than the advertised price and the cashback was nice too

The only other contender was the german made bosch $994 at Joyce Mayne. I went for price over reliability obviously.

Posting in case someone wants to try and get the same deal

Cheers

  • You might want to specify which store in particular, as it seems unlikely other stores will honour the pricing error.

      Fair point, edited, thanks

  • Not sure if I'd rather save $150 or my house from burning down..

  • Has anyone had luck at stores in Vic?

The price should be right, it has gone as low as $630 in the past

    "Samsung WW85K5410WW 8.5kg Front Load Washer $630.40(ebay.com.au)
See previous $698 deal for discussion."

Don't worry, I'm sure they're not losing. Their markups are much much more than they like to make us think.

      • do you have any proof?
i worked for HN for 8 years and their isn't a great deal of fat in white-goods.
speakers on the other hand WOW

        • Admittedly not speaking directly for these, had automatic coffee machines in mind

I feel like I should mention that the bigger 11kg version of this washing machine is fairly well priced as well at the moment. Through appliances online + ebay cozzie code + $150 cash back, the total ends up being $1071 including free next day delivery, installation and removal of old machine.

We bought it last week and are very happy so far. I know it's a lot more expensive, but there is a big price jump for the bigger machines so it's still a good price.

Edit: rrp is $1990, but normal every day price is $1400.
