    • If you already have an existing account, it's free. That's what the employee on Facebook chat told me. But a $10 fee is pretty common for set up fees

    • Unless you want express post there is not a setup fee.

  • $9.90 for unlimited calls and text plus 1gb is a killer deal imho!!
If you can survive just with a gb which is challenging..

Do you get the same complete access to the Optus network as optus does? Any things we should know about? Reliability?

  • Is this prepaid or postpaid?
Don't like postpaid! When I signed up Exetel $9.9 deal, I was always charged more even if I have put the CAP as 0, because they told me the control is falling behind 24 hours!

  • This is a very good deal, I'm signing up and ditching Amaysim

  • I just signed up, I was getting cheesed off with Amaysim, I was on their cheapest pay as you go plan using everything sparingly, still the 2-3 SMS's a day, the bit of data used to access email and 3-5 calls per week, it was coming in at a bit over $10 a month. Now I have unlimited calls/sms's and lots of data, I will be able to download a podcast or two while at work and perhaps browse some websites. Amaysim no longer made sense for me. No setup fee with Jeenee, if I remember correctly I had to pay $2-$5 to get the sim with Amaysim. You are also helping disabled people, more businesses should be like Jeenee, giving their profits to the needy instead of themselves and giving their customers good deals.

"Jeenee Mobile does not offer international roaming on any of our plans"

Showstopper for me, even though I never use it for calls, I still use it for occasional sms, especially for internet banking.

    • Buy a prepaid sim in the country you're visiting?

      • Australian banks do not like overseas numbers, other services with 2-pass auth may send sms occasionally if they feel you are being hacked. Also, you need to tell the new number at least someone at home for the case of emergency. For the rest - definitely the local sim is way better, that's why I have a dual sim phone.

  • post paid :( is there a pre-paid or data-capped deal around anywhere? Got to move my son from vaya, he keeps going over the data limit.

  • I thought that this was prepaid….?
    You can disable top up..

  • postpaid but I just found this:
"How can I turn Top Ups off?
You can turn top ups off at any time by logging into MyJeeneeMobile, and going to the "My Services" section. With top ups turned off, your service will be restricted once you reach your allowance. Please keep in mind that this restriction is subject to a network delay of up to 24 hours, and is not guaranteed to bar exactly on your limit. Any excess you've used over your limit will be charged at the applicable rate, as found in your plan's CIS."

    so it can be capped

But spintel cheaper for 5gb @ 6 months

    • Jeenee is now cheaper.. check their page again now! :-)

  • Added my name to Jeenee today… leaving Aldi but only for the free unlimited text & calls - Aldi network (telstra)was great!

Jeenee uses Optus and my partner has used Optus for years with no issues either.

  • I'm on Jeenee network now, took about 18 hours for my old service to stop.
