  • Tried a trial booking at Bellagio, Vegas. The price is way higher than hotels.com and the code is not accepted.

Plus the cap would kill it for me even if I could find somewhere it worked at.

    • These codes are never valid for major hotels but they usually work fine with all the smaller chains. I am surprised it is more expensive than Hotels.com - I find Orbitz is generally the same price before coupon codes. Expedia, Orbitz, Hotels.com etc are all owned by the same company so I find generally have the exact same prices.

      • The booking I tried was over $400 USD per night on Orbitz PLUS $42 USD resort fee. Hotels.com was $185 per night AUD including resort fee.

  • any way that you can search just the participating hotels?

  • Wondering if it will work out cheaper to use this and be charged a foreign conversion fee by my bank, or to book through Hotels.com and use the 10% off coupon (TRIP10) and be charged in Australian dollars…A hotel I'm looking to book through Hotels.com will cost AUD$221.76 after discount, and USD$173.09 after discount on Orbitz.com (roughly AUD$218).

Use a 28 Degrees card or similar to get the best exchange rate available. Saying that, for a possible saving of $5 or so, it doesn't really matter which way you do it.

    • Alternatively, you could pay with Paypal so you can see what exchange rate they'll give you.

But yeah, not much of a diff..

  • BIGADVENTURE is the new 15% promo code if anyone is looking for one :-)
