  • Hmm better when they were free ;-P

    • +1

Free ones were short sleeve only. Unless you got very very lucky with the deal a month or two back, where they screwed up the promotion and gave some away.

I bought extra warm before , but I do not feel much differences. you really need to try them in store to check their sizes. for example I have small top but I need medium bottom

    • Do you have a big arse?

      • Package a bit too big.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

  • +1

    Thanks op

  • By the way, these are the Extra Warm ones which are supposed to be warmer than the 'normal' ones. Also, I think there are no returns on these as they are considered "underwear" so best to try in store!

Agree to watch out with sizing, I'm extra large in clothing from most retailers in Australia and find the uniqlo extra large tops fit fine although not with much extra room. Not all their range is available in XL though.

I bought Uniqlo Heattech t-shirts when they were about $10 each. Quite comfortable but I wasn't convinced about them being particularly warm. Then I tried one of the Kathmandu thermal t-shirts which were indeed very warm and blew the Uniqlo one out of the water!

    • They were only good for layering for me as well

The standard heattech is meant for indoor use during winter. There was a guide somewhere with recommendations for which heattech type suited what use. Kathmandu thermals are designed for outdoors so should be warmer.

    • Do you know what kind of thermal top you got from Kathmandu?

I bought the Polypro tops when they were $12 each. They're very warm, but starting to pill a bit.

  • I can't live without these. Especially when I'm in Korea in winter. -10 degrees

  • Love my ultra warm during snowy mountain trip. But never seen it on special.

  • Oh god damn, I just bought the $30 pants for $40 a week ago.

    Can confirm they're decent.

  • Hi Scab:), just wanted to know if these will fit your XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL voluptuous and full figure.? Or will they stretch to fit? :D

    • I've lost 5 Kilos, I feel so sexy that I keep touching myself.

      • Ahahaha, your the sexiest Scab!
Just can't get over your Aldi post, I love it, it always puts a smile on my face :D

  • The extra warm is good. Paid full price before so will get another as a spare.

Does anyone know if we can use the $10 discount with free shipping and get cashrewards cash back as well?

    • I think u can only put 1 code. But that $10, need $50 min spend and if u spend $50 after discount, u get free shipping anyway. So, only issue is when u spend between $50-$60 (which often the case for me, lol). Cashback is separate, it will work if u go through their link

      • Thanks hanofee. I meant spending over $60 to get both free shipping and $10 off. But discount code is not listed on cashrewards so not sure if they will pay cashback.

  • wait, can someone please explain to me if they are classified as underwear but you can try them on in store? is it a new packet i'm grabbing or wearing something that someone else has worn?

    • +1

Heattech gear are in sealed plastic packets. In store has some "demo" pairs you can try on.

In store has some "demo" pairs you can try on.

Complete with demonstration pubic hair, flaking eczema and detritus.

Ewwww, I'd rather just guess the size and take the chance.

So I'd assume standard underwear policy applies? Once open no refund

        • @smeng:

No idea but I would assume so, although the tops should be able to be returned but you would have to check.

        • @smeng: correct. They only accept it back if it's faulty. Tops also cannot be returned once opened.. Only if faulty

        • That's my strategy

  • The ideal colour for shirts as underwear is grey but for some reason they've only dark grey offered online: http://www.uniqlo.com/au/store/heattech-t-shirt-1727540015.h…. Do they have a lighter grey in store?

  • I bought the kids version of this. After one wash it was completely ruined with cotton balls all over it. Considering I paid $20 for it, I wasn't happy. And no it wasn't washed with wooly things

    • I have a dozen Heattechs t-shirts that I have been wearing all year, since I got them, um, from Ozbargain ;) and never had this issue.

      • Maybe I have a faulty version? On the tag it says it can develop pilings or something. This shirt has now turned into something I need to wear to bed..because it can't be seen out :-(

        • I've had mine for over a year and wear it to bed most nights. No such issues… Not the kids version though.

  • Looking at buying the heatech extra warm leggings… I'm normally a size 12 for pants, which they compare to a medium, but not sure if it would be better to size up and go for the large? Any info on whether the leggings run small or large?

Also for -3 to 8 degree weather, would the extra warm heatech be better than the regular? Will be in Tokyo & Seoul early December.

    Thanks :)

    • I bought extra warm leggings and found that it helps a bit during winter however at around 10 degrees I was/am still feeling cold. I'm not so sure why but in saying that it helps :).

  • Is this online deal only?
Men heat tech tops are all gone in most sizes including M.

  • +1

Thanks! Love the extra warm heattech, the material is thicker and it is warmer than regular heattech. Tried them instore and would recommend buying one size up from whatever your normal size is (for women anyway). They told me no returns on sale items.

  • Great price. I find Uniqlo heattech range much better value than Kathmandu's thermals.

    • +1

Haven't tried these but everything I've bought from Uniqlo has been good quality for the money.
