Apparently due to the efficiency of the device, you can only get 8-10W out of it max.

    • +2

      That's correct.
The power output is depending on many factors.
E.g. solar strength level, sun-panel angle, conversion rate, etc.
A mobile phone usually requires 5W power to be recharged and a tablet requires 10W.
Under normal circumstances, this product is enough to power up 2 mobile phones or one tablet.

      How much is that?
Is it local stock, local warranty, comes with GST invoice?
      ;)

      • -6

Simple Google search reveal how much it costs and why it is superior.

  • is there any Anker multi-port wall charger?

    • We will contact Anker for more stock :)

  • How many amps can the USB supply?

Thinking of buying this for my RPI 3 if it can output to 2.5Amps.

    • +1

The maximum output of this product is 5V and 2.8A.
However, due to conversion rate and other factors, you will get 1.68~2.24A depending on the environment.
It's more likely not enough to power up your RPI 3 :\

  • How does this compare to the Anker PowerPort Solar models? Is it an older, physically larger model?

    • +1

I found this comparison on Amazon: http://imgur.com/a/FJWZV

      • Thank you for your additional information.
Yes, this one is an older model.
It is bigger, heavier and less efficient.
That's why it's much cheaper than the current model.
But overall, it's enough for your mobile phone, tablet, iPod and GPS device.

        • Great! thanks for your reply. Will you be stocking the newer model in the future?

        • @bdl: Currently, Anker's products are very hard to get, especially import them into Australia.
The waiting period is over 2 months plus shipping.
But we will try our best :)

anker products are overrated. This solar panel will be fine in full sunshine directly angled at the Sun but will be useless in cloudy weather. Very very slow charging when cloudy.

    • +1

Got a link to something better for the same price?

      • Do a Google or ebay search for AUKEY 21w solar. Ozb is not Letting me post a link.

  • I have this unit and have found it good. It has all the downsides you would imagine for a relatively small panel, but I have used it to charge USB battery packs when walking.
