  Why do things take so long to be delivered from uk/us? It's not all couriers but more than often.

  I had a parcel get shipped same day but it was 18 days from Heathrow to Melbourne Airport being cleared. You can fly the route in less than 24hrs, but even with customs delays I still don't understand why it takes 3 weeks.

  On the flip side all parcels I've had from Asia have been with me in a couple of days.
