    what does this means??????

    • You can only start booking from 12 Oct and onwards?

    • start booking on 12/10, and valid for a year

  • are these deals dodgy? lots of them seem too good to be true

    • i've bought many scoopons before, and havent had issues with them - great way to save money and venture into something new!

      • thanks!

  • Have used these guys before and didn't have any problems. Good deal.

    • do they pressure you or upsell?

      • Don't know what you mean by this, but i can tell you that i never had any scoopons issues before. My wife has certainly benefited a fair bit thanks to their deals (hair dressers, beauticians, pedicures and so on).
Never had a single problem with any of them.

      • +1

you mean like asking if I wanted a happy ending?

        • ROFL!

Now that should improve business :D

      • Arvana is a very nice spa and massage place. So no, they don't pressure you or upsell. However, they have sold so many of these vouchers, at a discounted price, one would start wondering about their pricing model.

      • They don't pressure you at all. However here are a few things to consider:
        - These scoopons etc can't be claimed from private health insurance providers
        - Do you need any qualifications to be a massage therapist?

I've used them before; and the massage was good but not brilliant (and no; no happy ending). I think getting a one-off massage somewhere might be a flawed concept — they won't know your requirements etc. I think the idea is to attract regular clients to it — the problem is that scoopon is Australia-wide so there is no guarantee they'll get local customers (and hence follow-up business).

        • Buy 12, that's one a month, plenty to build a relationship? :P

now… if this business goes broke in that 12 months though, what happens to your vouchers?

  • Your comments and feedback is appreciated guys and girls, we do go to extreme trouble of ensuring that only the very best places get featured on Scoopon.

In response to your questions WaywardOne:

    • A full hour massage is $90.00 odd dollars? Even if you got 50% back with your health fund, you are still better off and dont have to bother with claiming, hiccaps etc, nor actually require to be paying into a fund to commence with.

    • That is a good question, I personally can claim the best massages I have ever received came in places like Bali, Thailand etc, some of those people wouldn't of had any University certification, however being that we are not in Thailand Chantho and his team of specialist deliver an amazing experience that wont break the bank with a background that has been past down for many years.

Scoopon is a service that allows us to introduce exciting new Businesses to you the public, in hopes that you do maintain and long term relationship. People are willing to travel an hour to a good hairdresser, and the same goes for all service industries. By your same logic, a new Cafe I would walk into wouldn't know how I have my coffee. The hope is you enjoy your experience and the next time you do go there, they do know your requirements.

    For your consumption,

  • @Infallible, i have seen arvana deals on Ouffer and Scoopon before. How will a business like Arvana be able to cope with high demand. E.g on 31/08 Arvana sold 694 deals via Scoopon. And now with this deal it is around the 1600 mark with 40hrs till it closes still. Will Arvana be able to provide massages to all these people within that time frame? That's a lot of massages. And what happens if they have no availability, does the consumer just lose their money. I don't understand what happens to consumers money if businesses can't meet demand. What safety nets do you have in place to look after your customers?

  • Hi dorothi great question. We have offered this particular offer over a 12 month redemption period to allow for maximum avaliliabiliy. As expressed earlier we do alot of calculating to ensure customers are taken care of and Also offer a refund policy as a contingency plan. Scoopon offers such a policy to ensure customer satisfaction. As scoopon has dealt with arvana previously we have complete faith arvana are capable of dealing with high demand while delivering quality service. I hope this answers your query. Enjoy your massages ozbargainers!
