      Good luck.

      • Just when I thought I was out… they pull me back in

  • Saw this a few days ago, very tempted. But wondering if i should wait till launch for a possibly cheaper deal by Bigw or JB.

    • As this game is being shipped from the US Amazon was trying to charge me $25 for delivery time 2 to 5 days, so I don't think it would work out cheaper unless you got reduced shipping cost.

Not a bargain. It doesn't mention that it also costs a substantial part of your life :P

  • If you want to play as soon as it goes live, wouldnt it be better to buy it online and let it download in the background rather than wait for the key to come in the mail
That way you can play asap

    • Yeah I was thinking something similar. Is this price available in-store, or online only?
I leave to go overseas 4-5 days after this is released, so I can't afford to wait for it via snail mail!

Although I think with SC2 and other pre-orders they might possibly ship it early, so it gets to you on the 7th? Considering you can't actually play til it goes live, I can't see the harm in that..

Don't know how to confirm whether they'll do that though :x

  • Is it possible to buy from the blizzard store like that? I'd prefer going into the store and getting it, so i have the box and other useless things in it that i paid for.

Whats a couple of hours wait, when the game consumes days of your life after

Thats a pretty good price! I'm probably holding off till christmas (or after, for the sales) to buy it though. I'm really excited about it, but if the last xpac was anything to go by with the queue times to play and the crowded starter areas, I think I would rather wait and miss the initial rush. Maybe someone will have it cheaper for the boxing day sales.

  • Decent find but by November the AUD will likely be at parity and you'll be able to download it directly for $40. Probably worth the extra $10 if you need the discs though.

  • If Blizzard's recent releases are anything to go by, they won't offer Cataclysm as a download until after the rush on the retail shops has finished, maybe a month or two after the release.

If you had paid any attention to blizzards recent SC2 release you would know, that your wrong.
They will be doing the same as SC2 which was midnight retail release, and 10am next day digital copy.
if you can wait 10 hours go for the digital, if not preorder at eb games for midnight launch.
Personally ive got a copy preordered at eb games, but will purchase from blizzard or another digital store if they can supply a key earlier.

      • My mistake. I was going by the other WoW expansions… I'm out of the loop, your e-peen is bigger than mine :)

      • someone's a happy WoWer

  • Will the box contain an authenticator? If so I'd get it.

    • So you won't get it for the actual game itself, just the authenticator? Haha.
But yeah it'd be nice if they did make it easier for us to get one. They aren't expensive, but International shipping sucks :/

  • The digital upgrade is $40 USD. since the AUD dollar is pretty much on par with the US, why isn't everyone just buying the digital upgrade?

I don't understand how retail stores can still charge $60. That's a pretty heft difference in price.

    • I'm battling over this one!

You're right, $40 is a pretty dam good price. But I want the box. and having a hard copy is definitely a plus, considering Blizzard don't allow mirrors of the full client these days..

An extra $9 isn't too much to ask, I'm just trying to figure out how to get my hands on it on release day.
