  • Wow nice find, this is a fantastic price I might upgrade from my 680

  • Compared to Gigabyte and EVGA, how worth is paying the premium for MSI? I've seen both cards easily have prices approaching $660AUD

Edit: I see. This one has LEDS and such.

At the end of the day it really doesnt matter what brand you go with youll get comparable performance and cooling.

The question you should ask yourself is do I want a blower (cheaper but runs hotter in most builds), fan cooling (midpoint in price and cooling) or watercooled (expensive but best temps)

      • Blower fans supposedly lower the temperature of the whole system but I go for aio fans because I can't handle how loud the former is.

    • I have the GTX1070 version and it is worth paying extra for the better bearings in the fans. My previous video card died because the fan bearing siezed.

    A bit much

  • Finally caved and bought one! Cheers OP

  • futu increased the price, sad..

Can anyone lend any legitimacy to claim by the top commenter? i.e. higher base clock speed = higher temperatures when idle?

  • How long before the 1080ti hits that like $850 it was not long ago, I mean it's such a huge swing in these cards recently!

    • The price seems to drop around $100 each year. The 780ti was that price once, now it goes for almost half of that.

  • Just added this to cart with current eBay sale code "PICNIC". Comes up as $719.
