Jesus that much !! Could almost pay a bit more and get the lg oled 65.

    • It won't have the sound built into the screen panel though.
Something like mini speakers built all throughout the panel itself and can be directional like sound coming from one person on the side, different voice coming from another face on another area. Of course no broadcast signal nor bluray has this signal yet.

Having looked at both OLED and Hisense ULED, is LG kidding themselves???? For over $700 below the lg 55" price,i got a 65N7 Hisense + $800 tv cabinet + Phillips 320w 3.1 sound bar.All that for $3500 6 months ago. TV is awesome and so is the rest. This the the first non LG i have had and it owns:)

OLED is way better and some would say worth the premium price.

OLED is definitely a premium technology (at least today), and a shop floor is generally not the place to display that, as it's arguably an environment where the strengths of a good LCD are going to come through comparatively.

Once you're in the premium LCD range, it really does come down to personal preference against OLED, but considering it's pretty much only LG that's pushing this technology forward, the fact that it's still price competitive at all tells you that manufacturers are making the wrong bet.

All of that said, this TV is overpriced considering it uses last year's panel, albeit with a fancy built-in speaker and a decent SoC. However, I'd still take C7 and a decent sound system over this, as you wind up with a better exprience.

    i have a 800 dollar 65 inch 4k tv - its fantastic :D

    • +1

My 100 inch projector was about that much, too.

Sure 4K OLED looks better, if the size was the same, but not 5 times better. Whether or not this TV is better overall than my huge display is debatable, since size matters so much for immersion.

(That's without considering how little content there is that takes advantage of 4k, even today…)

Trouble is there is bugger all content {i have full foxtel, netflix and stan} that makes use of the best of it:) We are 2 or so years away i think. True $K looks amazing but there is not much at all:)

    • isnt there over 100 4k movies ??, and the ps pro runs 4k and also new xbox xxxx ? will do 4k output also plenty of crappy titles in netflix that will do 4k, not to mention better upscailing from 1080 to 4k…. but yeah nah yeah.

  • As mentioned above and linked, it's cheaper at myer.
