  • 100 million already!?
Wow, how long has Air Asia been flying?

    • since 1993. They have 103 aircaft, so bigger than virgin blue and nearly bigger than qantas.

      • Founded in 1993, but only since 2001 Air Asia became a proper airline company.

  • Its letting me book some flights now? I thought the sale hadnt started yet?

  • 2x return ticket to UK from perth for $2500 - I cant tell if this is a discount fair? lol

Well, as expected, the site has literally died. 20 minutes down, and still no luck getting onto the bookings page, or at least one that will let me book past March 2011.

    • Same problem here mate :(

  • service is unavailable

  • Use your mobile phone web browser guys!

  • Hey guys - I managed to get my tickets booked after an hour of trying. I used http://m.airasia.com/ - Their mobile website, which was alot quicker and didn't time out that often. Might be worth giving it a burl :)

    • I was cautious when going to that link, since both you and teng recommended it, when both of you just signed up today and within 8 minutes of each other.

    woohoo!!!

I just booked via mobile site which real quick PER - KUL rtn = $172 (20kg bags)

that $86 one way during Easter time, cheapest ever!

This is my first 2011 bargain and the new year is still 2 months away !!

  • I went looking for a airfare London - Melbourne return. This is what I found (for some reason it showed Lond - Melb but Melb - Lond would not bring up any flights.

It doesn't seem much of a Promo fair at 197 british pounds plus taxes when the reg fair is 245 british pounds plus taxes.

Adults: 1 Total: 298.00 GBP (approx $1000 AUS)

MOD-EDIT: rockyscape asked us to add: "I'd like to update my comment from (approx $1000) to (approx $500) which Carlin has pointed out in his comment following"

    • 298 British pounds = 476.751648 Australian dollars

  • Not very cheap to UK in peak time after July 1

  • Seems to be working now, I picked up a great fare from gold coast to china. $428 per person return.

  • I hate living in Sydney. Having to buy a return ticket to Tullamarine offsets any savings I may have gained. :(

    • $60 return to Tullamarine… Usually you can save more than that on an international fare

  • Just been searching Adioso and finding that plenty of sale fares are still available. You can find them with searches like:

The new version of Adioso automatically constructs optimal routes between any two places, so you can take advantage of these savings by connecting in from other cities in Australia, and flying on to other places in Asia and Europe.

  • Adioso seems to show flights that are no longer available..seems a bit pointless?

EDIT: so as not to be totally negative… I like how it displays the results but the results dont exist. :(

    • One of the "problems" with Adioso is that it puts a spotlight on the cheapest flights, thus making them sell out faster. When I posted the comment, the testing I'd done indicated most of the cheap flights Adioso found were still available. Now, however, as you point out, they all seem to be gone. It's these instances that remind us that we need to build in a way of keeping the index more up-to-date on fast-selling tickets.

But, glad you could find something to like about it. The best part about Adioso is it can find you great deals all the time instead of having to wait for the big sales.

  • Everytime i try to use adioso and book they arnt the prices as stated ive searched every single sale any airline has and they are never accurate. To be honest its a waste of time as its always false…
