  Incredible soundstage on these. Very precise sounding. Bass is not overwhelming. They are very accurate but not as pleasing as as some Sennheisers. But I use these to check my own recordings and thats what makes them a keeper. Great price.

    Not really as I understand it. They're fairly similar other than the K712 Pro is tuned to provide 3dB of extra base.

    I do own K712 Pro which I mainly for games where virtual surround sound is important and they're excellent for this.

      Purchased both.
      Returned the K702 to China.

      Now have two K712 Pro.

      Honestly,no comparison.

      Apparently eBay code PRESENT is not applicable.

      Bah! Sunday mornings. Goin' back to bed :)

      The white K701 are still $21 less than the K702.

        What's the difference between the K701 and K702?. 701 is a really old model, looks like it came out in 2008?. Then again it looks like the K702 is an old model too.

        The main difference is the K702 has detachable cord so you can swap them out to other brands such as Oyaide, etc.
        The headbands between the 2 is also slightly different in shape of the ribs.
        I've owned both and found the K702 more comfortable but tbh I regretted selling K701 as they were also slightly better looking.

        K701/K702/Q701/K712 Graph They all have the same drivers.
        The K712 pro have more bass but the soundstage is a little bit wider on the Q701 (compared to the K712).
        Besides, I think the "new" K701 headphones have a flat headband, without those horrible bumps.

        the K702 pictured is without headband bumps which is good

        detachable cord is definitely a good feature,especially if your computer chair has wheels

  Gee there's been some great deals on headphonnes recently. First there was the Sony MDR-1A from Amazon France for $149.20 delivered, then there was the Philips Fidelio X2 from Amazon UK for $199.34 delivered, then the Sennheiser HD 598SR from Amazon UK for $130 delivered. And now this AKG 702.
