      Well this is awkward.

      • +7

I'm sure the Op can shed some light on this.

    • $17.99 + usually $8.95 for flat rate shipping at this bike store

      • +4

Hardly $70. Business and the truth aren't the best of friends are they?

      • +1

'this bike store'? Theirs or yours? As well as using the same product description both of you have free shipping.

And the rep is a rep of that store too

        • @Spackbace: Funny. Gives new meaning to sometimes you're best to check yourself.

    • Nice work.

Wow, shot down in 4 minutes. Well done cornbeef!! That was quicker than Russians can shoot down a passenger plane flying over the Ukraine.

Well Done Cornbeef. By the way, corn beef has a lot of sodium and not really good for health :)

  • What sort of lumens should I be looking for in a headlamp?

    • +1

      Hi,

There are 2 kinds of lights

Lights that make you SEEN - To help other road users see you in low light conditions or lit streets at night
Lights that help you SEE - To illuminate un-lit roads and trails so you can see where you're going when riding at night

Lumens really depends on where your riding.

On lit up streets (low lumen light will be okay) or on not lit up streets (then you will need to go for something with higher lumens)

These silicone straps work great with most torches for $0.44 shipped.

It's this kind of information I appreciate from fellow Ozbargain members.

  • One AA could hardly supply 120 lumens LED Light for up to 30 hours… Unless that 120 = 1.5 actual lumens.

    • +1

      It's Chumens, Chinese lumens.

The formula is, price times one gazillion equals Chumens output.

      • hahahahahah

I wouldn't buy from Velogear even if this was a bargain. They were spamming the crap out of me. It wasn't until the ACMA got involved that the spam finally stopped!
