    If you're hoping for the chip number, I doubt ICstation know it. They appear to only be a reseller, with minimal knowledge if their products.

    Looking at the chip, it has 24 pins, of which 16 are visibly in use (3xUSB, 4xSD, 1xPushbuttons, 1xLED, 2xCrystal, 1xRF, 2xAudio output, 2xpower). There are no programming pads or header, so it is most likely a special-function chip. My guess is that it's a generic chip for car stereos, to handle everything except the radio part and the display. Probably some of the eight unused pins tell the car stereo which mode it is in, or track info, or something like that.

    Many chips for generic applications don't have a datasheet available in English. And you would need to know the part number, which doesn't appear to be marked on the chip.

      Yeah I figured that already from previous deals. A lot of these still have some kind of identifying number/model and having something to go on gets good info on usage and what quality to expect, e.g. picked up some cheapie ISD1820 modules from AliEx recently and knowing that instead of just "generic sound recorder" got a lot more info.
