    So as an amplifier how is it different to a repeater? Does it get its own ssid? Or do I give it the same ssid and my device auto connects to the best?

      Depends on orientation, I have no problems with vertical ports on my charger which are closely spaced. If they're horizontal, yeah maybe, but I can't think of a charger I've seen spaced like that, only computer USB ports.
