    Platinum QFF member get's about 60k points for the return trip from SYD to LON in Business (instead of the standard 30k).

    This is a value of about $300 on here, for an itinerary that'll cost you >$10k

      Its less than 10k. Peak periods is usually 6k-7k, but I get your point.

      It's more about getting extra points if you already were planning some flights. Not about making a booking just because of the promotion that you wouldn't otherwise.
