This thing is still fetching a lot of money it seems, despite being a few years old. I would consider S3 at this price though.

Doesn't say what processor it uses.

    • The price of the latest Tab S3 is around $750. There's not much difference between the two in terms of specs but the S3 has an S-Pen. I wouldn't pay extra $300 for that..

S3 has Snapdragon 820 and its almost double the performance of S2.

Tab S3 is like the most powerful Android table in the market right now as no one seems to interest to produce high end Android tablet.

Price wise I agree on lostn's comment, I will buy it if its S3. Samsung TAB series is way too over price consider a Snapdragon 820 smart phone can be bough for around $250.

Surprised too. Should had dropped further. Well I guess I am holding out for longer or until S4 comes around lol.

      • S4 will not improve much. Might come next year with SD830 or 835 while phones are on 840 or 845.

Meanwhile the price of S4 would be 900.

Android tabs are only popular at low end.

I bought this last week from The Good Guys with the last eBay sale last week. Not worth paying the extra for the S3 at this stage IMHO. This one is lighter, has a rubberised back which feels nice to hold, rungs Android 7.x.

Yes specs wise it is less than the S3, but as a Magazine/ Book Reader, Web Browser and odd game, this fits the bill nicely for a lot less.

totally agree….had it for about a year now… runs very well…. for me battery life is even better under Android 7.x

  • I just replaced mine after a about a year and a half as the battery was barely getting a couple of hours after full charge, with Android 7 and several rereshes. Probably luck of the draw with batteries as per most mobile devices.

    • If ti was purchased locally and is < 2 years old it'll be covered by Samsung Australia's 2 year warranty. Contact them or take it in to a local repair center and they'll replace the battery/motherboard/etc. if necessary.

I own 3 Tab S2 9.7 4G units, and none crash under Android 7 or have battery issues.

If you haven't already done so its worth factory resetting the device to ensure some rogue app isn't cause of your issues, before contacting Samsung.

    • Mines the opposite. I can leave it for 2 weeks and its lost only a few %

    • yeah my battery life is also pretty poor. lasted for around 2 hours from full charge

  • These tablets are also really fragile. Had mine for around a year before it got a slight bend.

Almost 2 years ago (few weeks short) I've bought the 32GB version for $399 from TGG.

    • Yep .. Technology is stagnating so prices are not dropping :/ .. why did 3D have to die and why are their no OLED tablets yet? :U

  • Anyone know if these tablets suffer from memory issues? I have an Ipad and it is soooo annoying when I use any browser software. After certain amount of tabs, it crashes and app closes. Tried different browsers and get same issue.
